Pampaloja — Hotel in Antofagasta

This hostel barely meets the most basic standards of accommodation. The facilities are minimal and poorly maintained - expect unreliable hot water, worn-out mattresses, and bathrooms that could use a thorough deep clean.

The staff's attitude ranges from indifferent to openly unfriendly, making simple requests feel like major impositions. Don't expect much help with local information or travel advice.

While the price is indeed low for Antofagasta standards, you definitely get what you pay for - and in this case, that's not much. The only redeeming quality is its decent location, being relatively close to some points of interest.

Despite the budget-friendly rate, I can't recommend this place. You'd be better off spending a bit more money elsewhere for significantly better value. There are several other hostels in Antofagasta that offer much better facilities and service for just a small increase in price.

Simple and clean Hostel, extremely friendly and helpful staff, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. It's not a typical tourist location and mostly visited by Chilenos. But Antofagasta isn't a very touristic city either. It's located rather far from the terminal, but towards the better direction of the city. A collevtivo will bring you close to the hostel for 570 pesos. Good internet connection, spacious lockers, minimercado and jumbo are close by. Amazing little place to stay and very cheap for Antofagasta. 20,000 for a room per night, hot showers, kind and helpful staff, parking for a moto or two inside their front gate, huge kitchen with everything you could need and a short walk into town.
