The original is truly the best! From start to finish, this was an outstanding dining experience. The food was absolutely immaculate—steaks cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with a vast selection of wines to choose from. Every bite reflected the quality and care that clearly goes into the kitchen.

The service matched the food in excellence. We were looked after by a wonderful young lady who went above and beyond throughout our meal. She made us feel genuinely welcome, attentive without being intrusive, and her professionalism elevated the evening even further.

To finish, I treated myself to a fine cigar and a handsome glass of Balvenie scotch. The gentleman who served me was also extremely polite and professional, rounding off the afternoon perfectly.

I travel to Antofagasta several times a year, and eating at Mu has become a tradition. Every visit, I try a different cut hoping to finally say, “this is great.” But my last order sealed it: the meat prep just isn’t for me.

The cuts look impressive, but they’re so thick that the flavor gets lost. The cooking feels rushed—whether you ask for well done or ¾, it still comes undercooked and not very juicy. It’s not about the quality of the meat, which is clearly good—it’s the way it’s handled.

I asked the chef for a recommendation, and he said “they’re all great.” That’s probably part of the issue. It’s Mu, so the attitude is “everything’s good,” but that doesn’t help when you’re trying to find a standout dish.

I still go for the ambiance—it’s a great spot to hang out. But when it comes to the meat, I’ll keep my expectations reserved and explore...

Went to this restaurant with great expectations because it's rated ad one of the top 3 in Antofagasta. My particular experience did not lived up to the hype. Summarizing the cons: Service although was fast was not nice, maybe the waiter had a bad night but she was not very helpful or polite enough to explain any of the many choices of the menu. She seemed more focused on getting your order as fast as possible than to please the customers. Meat: although there is a high diversity of cuts and quality grades of the steaks they offer the one I ordered (Angus) was not any better than a regular steak you can buy anywhere.
