We stayed in Hotel L&S as it was the only hotel in the guide book. Priced at £35 per person per night, it was about double our budget, but since it was our last night we splashed out, and it was so worth it!||||In the UK, £35 could buy you a tiny room in a mediocre hotel, so we were pleasantly surprised with how snazzy and clean Hotel L&S was. The beds were amazingly comfy and clean, the showers were incredible, plus breakfast (included in the price) was of a very high standard. For us, it was a "luxury" hotel with an acceptable price tag!||||We only stayed one night, between San Pedro de Atacama and catching a flight early in the morning from Calama. The staff were very helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport in the early hours, and the hotel was conveniently located ~10 mins drive from the airport.||||For the price, it was incredible value, and I would definitely recommend staying there during your...

TV selection was excellent, the toilettes were well appointed and the rooms were extremely comfortable.||||The hotel is also well located, and there is a supermarket and the largest Calama mall very close by. ||||Parking is available free of charge in their garage. ||||Sadly, the breakfast area was a mess, possibly due to the large number of uncontrolled children with Argentine parents who thought nothing of imposing the most basic manners. ||||But putting that aside, I recommend this place as the best Calama can offer (which isn't much).||||We got it at USD$45 a night which sounds like a gift, and it was.||||Highly recommended if you end up in Calama to catch your flight out of...
Read moreI only stayed for one night at L&S Hotel, while passing through Calama.||It is a very clean & nicely furnished Hotel. Service was very friendly. It has gated parking within the property, free wifi and includes a good breakfast. The breakfast is quite substantial and includes eggs cooked to your liking (I had them with Ham & Cheese), fresh bread, coffee/tea, juice, or cereal with milk/yogurt. It was very good and gave me a good start for the day. When looking for accommodation on line, this was one of the more reasonable priced places and it is close to the center of the city. I've marked it as quaint (Calama standard), because it is a nice quiet & comfortable oasis in Calama, which unfortunately does not have a lot to offer...
