Hotel Cruz del Sur — Hotel in Concepcion

HORRIBLE and TERRIBLE experience! My wife and I arrived around 6 pm. We had made a reservation that was not honored. The price was different to the the one advertised, more expensive and on top of that I was charged an extra amount to use my credit card (never before in any hotel around the world that we have stayed). The receptionist told us that we were getting the best suite available (308). This room was dark, unclean mildew around the wash basin, stains on the walls, no heather, just an small portable one, no outlets to charge our phones, I couldn't find anybody to buy a beverage. The shower head was tied with a piece of string to keep it in place. The Hotel is advertised as "NEW" which is false advertisement, in reality, is old and rundown, The elevator's floor is not leveled, indicating a lack of maintenance and trip hazard. We went out to lunch and had to wait for 20 mins. for the receptionist to come and let us back in, I was ringing the bell. but nobody attended. Llegamos al hotel tarde el día sábado 2 am. en la recepción nos informaron que el desayuno era hasta las 11:00 am. ||Obviamente aprovechamos de dormir y como la habitación estaba al lado del comedor fui a las 10:55 a buscar el desayuno. Cuando llego al comedor no había nada para comer, la señora que hace el desayuno estaba sentada comiendo en el comedor con una niña colombiana que decía trabajar ahí pero reclamaba que ella solo trabajaba de lunes a viernes ahí. Le pedí a la señora desayuno y no quería atenderme hasta que le tuve que decir que aún estaba dentro del horario del desayuno aunque sea 5 min estaba dentro del horario. Después la señora va a y me prepara huevos (somos 2 personas) y sale de la cocina con 2 platos de huevos pensando que eran los míos. Pero me dice que no y me pasa uno de un tamaño de un plato de pan con súper poco huevo. Y me dice es uno para ud, el otro es para mi. Y me dice que solo podemos comer 1 HUEVO POR PASAJERO!! Pueden creerlo!! Un hotel el cual cobra lo mismo que él ibis pero es un chiste de hotel. La niña colombiana comenzó a gritarme desde su asiento que no podía tomar desayuno a esa hora. Yo la hice callar por desubicada y sin respeto. Después sale la señora gritando que no podía darme más huevo por que habían dejado todos los huevos con llave! En verdad cero atención al cliente, cero amabilidad!! El baño del dormitorio estaba asqueroso! La tina con pelos!! Se supone que por ley deberían sanitizar. Very helpful and friendly staff! The manager literally saved our trip! Without his help we would have gone to the wrong location for our bus ride and missed our ride. He took the extra time to ask about our plans and when he didn't recognize the bus stop we said we were going to he called the bus service for us to figure out where we needed to go and then booked a taxi for us! 100% would stay here again on...
