Hotel Alonso de Ercilla — Hotel in Concepcion

I stayed in the hotel's very smallest room, "Simple B," which means it had a single bed (not a twin, mind you, a single, which is very narrow), a tiny TV, a little desk, and that's it. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. I had no problem at all with the wireless in the room. The room was surprisingly quiet, given that the hotel was apparently full.|||| The hotel is just two blocks from the Plaza in one direction and from a mall in the other. There is also a supermarket nearby.||||I'd be happy to never come back here. The hotel had an overpoweringly sweet smell, alternating with smoke. I am guessing there's some smallscale manufacturer nearby--maybe of candles? In any case, I did not like breathing it and worried that it...

I stayed here for a few hours after a long work day (I flew into Temuco in the morning, worked in Chillan for a few hours, and spent the night in Concepcion). Room was clean. Bed was a bit small and not or standard size. That was OK for me, since I am not particularly tall, but I can imagine someone who is tall feeling a bit crammed.||||Staff at the counter were corteous and nice, check-in and check-out were expeditious and problem free.||||I think the best part was being in a central location. I stepped out of the hotel at dusk, bought a huge bag of fresh Chilean grapes (which served as dinner) for one buck and spent a few minutes enjoying the nice Chilean summer evening just a few blocks...

El hotel no me quería respetar la reserva que hice, por medio de Booking, era " oferta con tarifas de impuestos incluidos" ,en donde hice reserva y envié datos para que me entregaran factura, y me dijeron que al abrir y leer un sin fin de cosas por ahí estaba que los chilenos si pagábamos , que era solo para extranjeros , la típica publicudd engañosa o letra chica etc, cuento corto, yo también había informado en mi trabajo de mi hotel ya que necesito que me aprueben presupuesto , en donde su solución ( del hotel) fue que me fuera sin pagar,y no encontré otro hotel a la hora que llegué y por el presupuesto que yo tenía, por supuesto que hoteles carísimo siempre hay cupo, cuando hablé con la administradora su solución fue invitarme a irme del hotel.... así es.... Cuando me le expliqué el tema de lo mal que estaba atendiendo mi caso ( yo siempre mantengo la compostura pero igual tuve que dar argumentos legales y ponerme firme frente a la situación) .. obvio... Me dijo que me respetaría la oferta para que yo no me comunicara con su jefe y no hiciera más, qué sé yo, y entonces me llevó a una habitación que era espantosa de fea ... entonces me encontré con una araña de rincón no muy pequeñita cuando me iba a meter a la ducha del baño ,en plena tina, llamé para ya irme que me reembolsaran como fuera mi dinero que además no me cobraron con factura (que no se dieron cuenta y que la administradora se había ido y ellos no sabían hacer eso) y que me quería ir , en ese entonces la administradora ya se había ido y el recepcionista me ofreció disculpas y me llevó a una pieza muuuucho más decente, grande y limpia!!!!, Cómo las de las fotos. Nunca más vuelvo a ese hotel y su administradora Ximena Carrasco con nula capacidad de gestión y pésima empatía hacia...
