Hotel El Dorado Concepcion — Hotel in Concepcion

We had booked the hotel for 3 nights at the end of May 2024.

Upon our arrival in the afternoon, we asked if it was possible to have vegan options for the included breakfast. At the reception, they took note and said they would do their best for tomorrow morning but that it could be done for the other 2 mornings. We had our options all 3 mornings. We had vegan milk in addition to bread, avocados, tomatoes and mushrooms and other extra treats provided. We were very happy with this attention offered. A 5-star without hesitation for the service. A special thank you to the kitchen people.

The room was decent but the time of year and the location of the city made it very humid and chilly. There is no heating in the room but we were not cold in bed. The safe did not work but I did not ask the reception and simply decided not to use it. It is an aging hotel without too many recent renovations but it contains what you need.

There was no laundry service available during our stay. (Don't try to wash your clothes to dry them, with the city's humidity, it's just impossible to air dry)

The day before our departure, I had asked for a taxi for 8 am on a Sunday and it was there without a problem.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The room was a bit outdated, but it was clean and comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a basic, no-frills accommodation...

La mayoría de mi estadía fue muy buena, pero hay cosas que no se pueden dejar pasar y que bajan mucho el nivel de servicio, empezando por cierto garzon de mayor edad, un debe mantener compostura y no estar con caras raras o apurando al cliente a elegir o teniendo reacciones inadecuadas hacia los huéspedes, cualquier tema se soluciona hablando de forma tranquila y no arrebatando cosas o haciendo sentir mal o incomodo a sus huéspedes, fue por esto que me genero desconfianza cualquier cosa que pudo provenir de el y no almorze ahí, pase al oxxo que esta al lado, anclado al tema de falta educación y de profesionalismo, se une el portero, quien parece estar siempre de malas ganas y hablando entre dientes, reclamando por hacer por lo que le pagan, generando una situación incomoda tanto para mi como para mis compañeros, pagamos un servicio en un hotel de categoria, según nosotros. De los recepcionistas nada que decir, nos dieron tips turísticos que seguimos y fue excelente, además de tener una grata conversacion. Por ellos 2 estrellas...

Insalubre. Pan con Hongo al desayuno:

El hotel ofrece servicio de desayuno hasta las 10:00 am. A las 9:20 ya no quedaba jamón, palta ni huevos. Solo un par de laminas de queso.

Al preguntar a la garzona por reposición de comida responde de mala manera que no repondran más comida. Luego le pregunto por cucharas y taza para poder tomar café, a lo que responde de mala manera que me espere.

Al momento de sacar un Pan de la panera noto que este está añejo (duro) y con hongos.

Tuve que esperar a la administradora del restaurante quien no se encontraba en el lugar (día Lunes a las 9.40am). Al llegar se deshizo en disculpas. Le expliqué que puedo tolerar un pésimo servicio por el cuál se me cobra, pero NO una falta a las normas de salubridad del ministerio de salud.

Me dijo que fuese a desayunar. Solo tomé té para acompañar a mi equipo de trabajo en la mesa; esperamos hasta las 10:30am y NO se repuso comida, café, fruta, huevo, palta, nada desde las 9:20.
