Hostal El Cactus — Hotel in Copiapó

I was tired and sick when I arrived at this hostel without a reservation at 7.30 am. The guy who answered the door was very helpful in showing me to a room and the lady who worked there was very kind later on that day and even offered to get me cough mixture. I spent a lot if time in bed, which was very comfortable with plenty of blankets. The bathrooms were clean and there was hot water. It seems to be occupied by mining employees most of the time, but they are pretty quite. You can use the kitchen, but there are no cooking facilities. It's about 10-15 min walk in to the main sq and there are a few ||little shops around. No communal area apart from a few seats...

I stayed at this hostal during a trip around Chile. The hostal is located about 6 blocks from the plaza. Este viernes llegamos a Copiapo a realizar un trabajo y viajamos con nuestros 5 yorkis. Para nosotros fue una bendición encontrar este lugar hermoso, acogedor, cálido , para descansar ! ..con una excelente atención y preocupación de la dueña quien nos dió muy buenos datos y todas las facilidades para estar tranquilos con nuestros regalones, pese a su cara de asombro porque son 5 yorkshire ! jajajaja! LES RECOMIENDO ESTA HOSTAL AL 100%, UN LUGAR FABULOSO Y TRANQUILO! Excelente trato, amabilidad, cordialidad, preocupación ! DEBIERAN TENER LA MISMA INICIATIVA OTROS LUGARES PARA RECIBIR MASCOTAS COMO ESTE MARAVILLOSO LUGAR!!! Hace falta!
