Hostal Marari — Hotel in Easter Island

I chose this B&B based on the stellar reviews, but when I got there I was quite surprised. There were no towels in my room, and in the two days that I was there, there was never anyone at the desk to help me. I actually didn't see anyone on the property besides another family who was staying in the kitchen area. In addition, one of the amenities listed was wifi, however when I was there I was told the wifi on the entire island was out, however I was able to get in another area of Hanga Roa. Stayed here at February 2014 for 2 nights. Good apartments, nice location. But at last night someone opened our room (while we sleep) and stole one of backpack (with some money). It seems it was stolen by one of the owners of hotel or owners friend. As we have a flight at morning, so had no time to investigate it with police. So, be careful...

Fomos incrivelmente bem recebidos pela pessoa que administra o hotel, uma mulher muito simpática. O quarto tem um bom espaço e a cozinha disponível também. Tivemos problema com o chuveiro no primeiro dia, não conseguimos fazê-lo esquentar e não tinha ninguém para nos auxiliar. No segundo dia conseguimos resolver sozinhos. Cruzamos com a pessoa que nos recebeu algumas vezes, mas como ela organizava passeios, não ficava lá a maior parte do tempo. Tivemos problema com o wi-fi, e precisei eu mesmo reiniciar o modem para voltar a funcionar, pois novamente não havia ninguém para noas auxiliar, e nem whatsapp (pois não tinha internet) para tentar contactá-la. No dia de ir embora, novamente não encontramos a pessoa e deixamos a chave pendurada na recepção.||Como a hospedagem na ilha é cara, assim como a alimentação, o hostel valeu a pena pela cozinha que nos permitiu economizar bastante.
