A love and hate experience at Makona's. Actually visited 4 times to get a meal here. First time it was closed with no one, second time it was closed but there was a female staff, and she told me it would be open for dinner the next day. Third time went the next day and it was closed! Decided to give a final time the night before I left and it was finally opened. Quite a variety of dishes available, attention was caught on the different types of ceviches they offered. Really wanted to try everything and then the staff actually recommended me to try the "Trilogy of the Pacific" which I could try a few types of ceviches in a dish. I have to say the dish was really good! You get to try ceviches made different ways and some had octopus and prawns and the sauces are different. The best sauce has to be the separate sauce that was served together with the ceviche. It was so good I finished every drop of it and I requested for another serving. I asked for the recipe and the staff told me it was secret! It might not look big but it was definitely filling. Together with the fried sweet potato and rice definitely makes the meal very complete and full. I have to say the rice is also very fragrant I almost wanted another serving! Great food and please open more people want to eat your food!

A little restaurant along the main business strip that’s tucked away behind some foliage but just walk extremely slowly next to where the google map pin is and you’ll eventually be able to spot it and it’s worth the hunt because the food here is fantastic. They do open a little bit later than most other restaurants on the island but don’t let that deter you. Extremely fresh ingredients combined with beautifully crafted dishes resulted in a fantastic dinner. Every dish we ordered came out fantastic and even the bread starter was quite delicious. Service was extremely attentive and quick.

The restaurant is on the Main Street, and someone I met on a sightseeing tour recommended this establishment. I tried and enjoyed the food and local beers. I think i ordered too much and had sweet potato fries to go in the end. I took off a point in the service aspect because I waited for quite a long time to place an order as well as to get my bills. Other than that, the food tasted delicious!

Nice place to have a lovely dinner with the family. There are some small geckos around that makes this place magical. The food was amazing; tuna was delicious both raw (ceviche) and grilled. Service was friendly welcoming and know about the dishes. The big plus is that is open late and is ideal after a long day discovering this amazing and magical island! For us, it was our best...
