Hostel Raiz — Hotel in Pucón

Arrived in Pucón and this was the perfectttt little place for me and my boyfriend to get settled in👌

A super chilled Hostel with really nice friendly staff, beautiful big garden, really clean well kept and all round good vibe from the place. Super impressed with the great recycling system they have going as well, we’re all for that! 🍃♻️🌿

I think bare in mind that this is a ‘Hostel’ therefore be prepared to share facilities and rooms! Our room mates were really respectful, friendly and we made friends in our stay, both with travelers and staff, it’s the luck of the draw and what your expectations entail I’m afraid, if this isn’t what you expect for a really great price then maybe it’s not your way of travelling and other options such as air bnb/ private accommodations are best suited for you🫂🌞

It’s super close to a super market which is around the corner and walkable to town! Its close to a kind of Artisan market also which is really cool and has a few bars and restaurants in the middle.

To sum up we really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend to others passing for a really peaceful stay!

P.s They have a super adorable fluffy cat who’s an absolute chiller 🐈

Voy a tratar de ser lo mas objetiva posible, fui con mi pololo y pedimos la habitación doble sin balcón, está habitación (como toda la casa en realidad) comparte baño con una habitación de 4-6 personas, en donde el baño (water) queda justo en la muralla que da a la cabecera de la cama, se escucha todo lo que pasa en el baño (todo) además del ruido de la cadena (también el baño tiene doble entrada, y el pestillo de la pieza grande no esta muy bueno, por lo que tampoco puedes hacer tus cosas tranquilo), otra cosa importante de esa habitación es que todo el ruido de la cocina y de un espacio común va a llegar arriba porque las ventanas no son de muy buena calidad. Bueno la cosa es que justo cuando fuimos nosotros, el hostal estaba en su máxima capacidad (también se quedan carpas en el patio, osea mas personas de lo que una casa aguanta) con personas que solian quedarse conversando y tocando la guitarra hasta las 12 o 1 am (no es tan terrible, pero si pasas todo el día en el lago o en algún tour, obviamente quieres llegar a descansar), te encargo la de portazos que pegaban cuando se iban a dormir, la cadena del baño y lo desagradable de escuchar absolutamente todo lo que hablan, además de un par de personas un tanto desubicadas paseándose en calzones a las 11-12 del día. Nadie regula nada y básicamente si descansas o no, depende que personas se alojen contigo en ese momento. Si a eso le sumas que no es para nada barato, realmente no lo recomiendo, no me volvería a quedar ahí bajo ninguna...

Beautiful little hostel in a quiet area of Pucon. 2 min walk from the Lider supermarket, 5 minutes walk from the center and 10 minutes from the beach. Big, fully equipped kitchen, nice grassy open area where you can pitch your tent in case you prefer to camp, hammocks, decent WiFi, big bathrooms (only two, that's the only "issue"), friendly, bilingual staff...
