Hostal Maitahue — Hotel in Pucón

As hostels go, this is a nice cosy family run business. Its far enough from the main centre (10 walk minutes) to be in a quiet area. We booked a twin room but got put in a small room with 2 bunk beds, just enough space to move. The main issue was that the wooden panel walls are so thin you can hear everything in the rooms next to you. We happened to have a young couple next door that played music loud and when not playing music they were watching films on high volume. The bathroom and shower was nice enough and towels are provided. The kitchen space was fairly good and the Wi-Fi was pretty good too. Its not a party place so if that's the hostel you want, don't stay here especially as the family seem to live onsite too. Not 100% about that though. They do ask you not to use the kitchen after 11 pm and the shower after midnight which was completely...

I have never slept in a such dirty space. It was incredible. Moreover, when we arrived there were nobody in the reception. We had to call for someone after one hour. Not least, they give us a wrong room and during the evening we must change the room with our stuffs. After a trek, we were just exhausted. ||But the worst for me, it was the dirty all arround the hostal. I really was desgusted. I didn't sleep in the bed because of the hair, boogers and dandruffs on the cheets. We just slept in our sleeping bags. The bathroom was full of hair, dirty and grease on the walls, etc! No toilet paper. The kitchen was not neat and nobody washed their dishes. Above all, it is really really expensive for that! Not for people who want to rest and who they like...

Fui con mi pareja la segunda semana de enero, pedimos una habitación Matrimonial con baño privado, nos dejaron entrar a la habitación antes del Check in lo que nos permitió descansar ya que llegamos a las 7 am, la habitación fue la del final del pasillo primer piso y aunque tenia ventana la vista era la de la pandereta, la habitación era normal, tenia un velador y un mueble con repisa (3 tres cajones amplios), un lcd de no muy buena calidad de imagen, la habitación en general era muy oscura ya que que como mencione la pandereta tapaba el sol y había que prender las luces temprano. En cuanto al baño era lo mejor que tenian, se veía limpio, tenia un espejo grande y además contaba con secador de pelo, confort tamaño industrial, shampoo y bálsamo de litro además de jabón, cambian todos los días las toallas. La ducha contaba con agua caliente durante todo el día (solo se puede puede usar hasta las 12 pm). Otro punto a favor es que te entregan las llaves de la puerta principal y de la habitación lo que te permite, llegar a la hora que desees. Contaba con servicio de Mucama que se preocupaba de ordenar la habitación y el baño. La cocina muy bien equipada y en abundancia pero el comedor era muy pequeño por lo que solo una familia a la vez lo podía ocupar, y llegaban muchas familias por lo que al ser solo dos personas difícilmente podíamos ocupar la mesa, al haber muchas familias, en el primer piso se escuchaba todo el ruido sobretodo de los niños al jugar, el wifi no legaba muy bien a la habitacion y a veces perdiamos la señal.Finalmente añadir que la señora a cargo del lugar le falta ser más amigable ya que se desliga...
