We stayed at Hostal Don Nicolas for 2 nights before catching our Navimag cruise.||The location is away from the centre of town but closer to the port and bus station. The hostel is up a steep hill in a tatty looking residential area. It's a big hostel but I think we may have been the only guests for a while, when we signed the book the last person was over a month before! ||The room we had was quite noisy as it was above the dining room TV, also the neighbours were playing thumping Latino music. The view however was really nice. ||The room was basic and unheated although there were lots of blankets. The bathroom was not very clean, it didn't look like anyone had stayed there for a while. There was even an old bar of soap with hairs on it, yuck! ||Breakfast was the worst I have had in 4 months of travelling. A complete waste of time, just hot drinks and a whiter than white bread roll with radioactive jam. ||For the price we paid this hostel was a rip off, unfortunately it was the cheapest we could find in the area at the time. ||The staff looked like they live at the hostel and were friendly. We were allowed a late check out which was...

The kitchen is big and feels like you are using their kitchen but very handy! It is a bit of an uphill walk from the bus station but fine for...
