Hospedaje Vista al Mar — Hotel in Puerto Montt

There is honestly nothing else to say about this place. The bed is comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, the view is incredible!||you basically live in with a sweet lady and her husband. The top floor is for the guests (max 5-6), there's a little sitting area with beautiful view over the town and the bay, and 3 bedrooms. there's 1 shared bathroom, and 1 of the bedrooms has a private bathroom I think. ||The lady who runs the place is the sweetest, every time you have a question she will whip out a map of the city and draw your route with a marker. She will make you tea in the evening and you can sit in her kitchen for a little chat about everything.||If I ever return to Puerto Montt, there will be no doubt...

We stayed here towards the end of our two konth trip in Chile and Argentina. This was the best hostal experience we had. The woman owner is very friendly and helpful. She helped us arrange accomodation on Chiloe. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable with everything you needed. We were pleasantly surprised in the morning with a great breakfast of cereal, fruit salad, yogurt, toast, jam and delicious coffee, as well as cheese and meat. We had a good private room, with a bathroom which we shared with one other room. No view of the mar, but there is one from the sitting room upstairs. The price is not cheap considering that Puerto Montt is not much of a tourist destination, but the street is quiet. The owner said that someone is always home during the day so you could just roll up and ask for a room. The breakfast was above average, to our pleasant surprise.
