Hospedaje Tribu Piren — Hotel in Temuco

My "very good" rating is relative and based on what can reasonably be expected when staying in a place like Temuco, which is a working-class city whose main function for tourists is as a bus transfer stop. I arrived at Tribu Piren late at night after reading about it in Lonely Planet Chile. It was nondescript and a bit difficult to find, even for the taxi driver, but once inside I felt very comfortable. The gentleman who received me was friendly, the rate for a private room with a shared bathroom was cheap, and there was a lock on the door and power outlets. The bathroom was clean and I didn't have any trouble with the hot water. In the morning a continental breakfast was provided, as were good directions to the bus station. We really enjoyed our time here. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are spotless, and the owner is very helpful with your travel plans. Wifi is great as well for you to do your own research. It's a great location near the center of town and has a great breakfast. We had yogurt one morning and muffins the next, along with bread, meat, jam, and cheese on both mornings. Located close to the plaza and near the JAC, BioBio and rural bus terminals. Comfortable bed and clean throughout. Breakfast of bread, cheese, ham, yogurt and a biscuit. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Can be noisey at night if other guests...
