HOTEL BAYERN — Hotel in Temuco

I was in Temuco for a badminton tournament being held at the Bernard Ohiggins Hall. The hotel was a five minute walk to the hall, which made it easy to get to and from our matches. My partner and I stayed in a double room which just about only fit two single beds. My badminton equip found it's way to a closet, while my partner used a high shelf to store his belongings. My roller bag was at the foot of the bed, which left very little room to pass. Bathroom was clean. Water pressure good. Hot water available at all times, and very hot. Mini-bar was priced fairly and we enjoyed our beers. Daily breakfast was included......bread, yogurt, bad coffee, two types of cereal, juice, and sandwich meats/cheese. After having travelled one week from Santiago to Puerto Montt by car, I´ve stayed in a number of different hotels.||The Bavaria is a nice hotel - compared to the others:||||The room was a bit small - but clean; with minibar and a small desk.||Internet was also fast and reliable.||The shower worked fine - hot and cold water at a nice pressure.||||The breakfast buffet was better - compared to the other hotels we stayed at.||Still a bit limited - but at least the basics like breads, cereals and some fruits.||||As we arrived at night, we walked out for dining; a few restaurants can be found within an easy walking distance. ||||Compared to other hotels, I found it a bit more expensive - but still with a good value...

La verdad es que tenía más expectativas con este lugar. Cuando desde la empresa hicieron la reserva todo hacía parecer que era algo acogedor, tipo alemán, sencillo pero cálido. No me pareció nada de eso. La habitación que me tocó estaba con su papel mural muy sucio, cortinas poco cuidadas, un baño muy pequeño con un extractor de aire que era tan grande que hacia las veces de ventilador; era una noche muy helada y el radiador sin bien estaba a full no llegaba a calentar lo suficiente. La verdad es que cuando ingresé a la habitación de mi colega me dí cuenta que esa estaba en mucho mejores condiciones; por lo que fui a recepción a pedir el cambio, pero no había otra disponible al parecer de las características en las que yo me quedaba, por lo que le solicité algo para calefaccionar al menos un poco más y no tenían. Por lo que finalmente me pasaron el ventilador de aire caliente que tenían ahí. Muy pocas frazadas en las camas y sábanas poco cuidadas. El desayuno estuvo bien, aunque es muy lento el servicio de cena. La atención tanto en recepción como en el restaurante es buena. Sin embargo, no me gustaría volver a hospedarme en ese lugar.
