We have been traveling for seven months and Hostal Kairos easily stands out as one of the best places we've stayed. This is in large part to the wonderfully kind and hospitable family that runs the hostel. Here are a few other reasons why you should choose to stay here when visiting Valparaiso:||||1. It's an easy walk (and easy to find) from the bus terminal.||2. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The high ceilings and Juliet balcony evoked feelings of being in a flat in Paris.||3. The bathrooms are impeccably clean.||4. You can choose to have breakfast in your room, in the dining room or on the rooftop terrace. There's also subtle changes to the breakfast each morning, so you're not always eating the exact same things, which is nice.||5. The WiFi is strong and reliable.||6. Read moreIt was the worst night of my life!! Discusting place and people!!!! Nobody can speak english at all. They dont have human sence. In the middle of the night we woke up and our bed was full of bugs (insects) immediately we checked our staff and they were all around the room! We took a cub and moved to another hotel (not hostel) It was super difficult to find a cub and the place which was open in that time of the night! We spent all of our money yesterday!!! Very scary!!! In the morning we came back to hostel to take our bags and the view of the room was full of death insects!!! ON THE BED!!!! We couldn’t sleep there and we asked to refund our money but the lady was keep telling it is a NORMAL SITUATION! She doesn’t speak English! Which was the most annoying part of our nightmare! Read moreThis place is not far from the bus station, maybe 10-15 blocks. It's in a great centralized location and you can walk or catch transit easily. The facility is clean and the owner is very hospitable and willing to help with directions or suggest places to go. The breakfast is very good... Sandwhich, fresh fruit, pastry, juice, Nescafé and yogurt. The rooms have vaulted ceilings. There are three bathrooms, so using one or takings shower with hot water is no prob.
