Stayed here for 6 nights in a family room for 3 persons.||||Getting here:Took a cab frm Beijing capital airport.Took us about an hour .Gave the direction printed out frm our booking at trip.com to the driver.paid 105 yuan.Dropped us off at the entrance of Lishi hutong.Walk in around 5min and its on yr right.||||The room we chose had a double and a single bed placed side by side with a side table , wall mounted tv ,wall mounted clothes rack, coat hanger with around 5 hooks, a small rectangular table and thats about it(no wardrobe). There is also around 4 sockets for electrical devices .||||The toilet has a shower and wc (seated ) together. So only one job at a time.Towels are replaced on a daily basis.Hand towels too.Toothbrush, comb, toilet paper is provided.Housekeeping daily.||||Surrounding area,a residential hutong is safe to walk around even late at night.Quite interesting to see residents going about their daily life.||||With Dongsi subway around 8 to 10mins away.Very convenient to move around the city.McDonald's, KFC,as well as many food options nearby.||||We arranged transport back to the airport thru the hotel. Its a private hire and actually came to the hotel entrance.Costs 200 yuan.||||Apart from the room noise during breakfast starting around 7.15am to 10am(rm next to dining area). Its a decent place to crash after a full day of walking. With clean towels and room cleaned. There is a slight smell coming from the toilet basin but not that strong to be a dealbreaker.Really depends where you are from. Pls bear in mind, this is a residential area. What u experience is what they go through on a daily basis. This hotel is not for those who are more used to a more international chain type hotel. But if u want a hutong experience and a place to crash without breaking the...

Read moreAgree with other reviews that location is great because near to Line 5 and Line 6’s Dongsi station, with small eateries (including a McDonald’s), fruit stores, convenience marts (7-11, and many others) and Wu-mart within ~10mins walk. Otherwise just take the subway to Dongdan or Chongwenmen or Wangfujing for larger shopping malls and food. It has basic facilities, reasonably clean. However there is a slight sewage smell in the bathroom in the mornings but the smell does not linger because exhaust fan works well. Bed and bedding are clean and comfortable, didn’t find it hard and slept pretty well. Lobby has a eating cum cafe cum reading area which is great for lounging and chatting with guests since the room is only quite basic, not much view since it is located in a hutong, just see neighbour’s cluttered backyard :) Staff are helpful and friendly, and patient especially with my rudimentary mandarin. Although the property is rather old and shabby now, e.g. carpet is worn, dusty and cracked tiles in bathroom, i can imagine that it was pretty and fresh when operations just started. Free Wifi and Handiphone (mobile) provided was great! The Handiphone was very useful for checking google maps and subway/bus options for getting around, can also make international calls to a few countries (unfortunately my country not included) ... but since i did not need voice calls, i would not have needed to get a SIM card for my own phone. So if you manage your expectations and don’t expect a 4- or 5-star hotel, this is a great place to stay to soak in the “old” beijing atmosphere to...
