The level and quality of service provided by hotel staff, including friendliness, responsiveness, and professionalism, is the highest I have seen anywhere. The cleanliness of my guest room, public areas, and facilities is what was above and beyond during my stay. The quality of the bed, linens, and furnishings, as well as room size, temperature control, and soundproofing were all fantastic. The availability and quality of needed amenities like Wi-Fi, fitness center, swimming pool, spa service, and on-site dining options were also top shelf. The quality and variety of food and drinks offered by the hotel, including breakfast, room service, and restaurants, were all more than what I’ve found in similar 5-Star operations. This hotel provides great value for the price paid, considering all the factors like room rates, included amenities, and overall experience. One concern is that the guest reviews on Google and other sites are outdated and do not reflect my experience at all. The room was a good size and a great value. The furnishings all worked and many luxury items were made available, which for the price, was a real treat. I felt very safe here as the hotel's security measures, including access control, surveillance, and emergency preparedness are also top shelf. The efficiency and convenience of the check-in and check-out procedures made the most positive impact on my perception of the hotel. Vivi, the Front Office Manager, helped me throughout check-in and each of the front desk personnel were fantastic throughout my stay (most notably Damon). The availability of an adapter plug made all the difference in being able to charge phones and use the computer. The assistance and recommendations provided by the concierge manager (Harry), front desk, and guest services team greatly enhanced my stay. The frequency and quality of housekeeping services, including room cleaning and turndown service were outstanding. The hotel's decor, style, and ambiance contributed to the overall experience in a positive way and were updated in the recent year or so. This hotel's proximity to attractions, business centers, transportation hubs, and safety of the neighborhood significantly improved my stay in Beijing. Location: (5/5)|The location remains this hotel's strongest asset. It's exceptionally convenient, with easy access to buses and the subway. The scenic Liangma River is right nearby, with numerous dining options in the vicinity. It's close to the embassy area and he popular Sanlitun area is also just a short trip away. Perfect for exploring the city.||Ambiance & Public Areas: (3/5)|The exterior and lobby feel decidedly old-school. It's not necessarily bad, but the design aesthetic strongly reflects the late 90s/early 2000s. The carpets show significant wear and tear, signaling the need for refurbishment.||Stayed on the executive floor. The lounge is located within the atrium of the executive tower building. While functional, the open atrium design compromises privacy. Service was fine, but offerings outside of the happy hour were very limited.||The Room: (3.5/5)||+: Generously spacious. The bedding was supremely comfortable, and soundproofing was excellent, resulting in truly fantastic sleep quality. The shower had excellent, powerful water pressure as well. ||-: the room reflects the hotel's overall age. Fixtures and furnishings feel noticeably dated and worn. Other drawbacks included the lack of a smart toilet and cumbersome lighting control system||Breakfast: (4/5)|Breakfast offered a couple of notable local highlights: a made-to-order jianbing (Chinese crepe) station and hand-pulled noodles. However, the overall selection felt limited and repetitive for a hotel of this caliber.||Service: (5/5)|Service was impeccable across the board.
