Fo'ao Vaperse Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

I do not recommend, huge noise day and night, all the time [near constructions], cockroaches, very hard mattresses of poor quality. We spent over a week in this hotel and on the last day, out of nowhere, a cockroach suddenly appeared running on the table in our room. We had to throw away all the food, toothbrushes etc. I will spare you the rest of the details. The hotel itself is in a great location and that is the only plus. Cons - very hard beds of poor quality [not typical for Chinese hotels hard beds, but beds comparable to sleeping on the floor]. The water from the shower drained very slowly and flooded the entire bathroom. The water temperature was not stable, and sometimes it was like boiling water. We were kindly informed about washing the windows but not informed that in the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are two large construction sites using pneumatic hammers from 6 a.m. all day long, also on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, at night, and all night long, despite closed windows, you can hear a very loud noise, like from a distant construction site. Practically impossible to sleep. Breakfast average. We were very disappointed because from the reviews seemed fantastic. I think some of the photos included in the reviews are not showing breakfast but maybe afternoon...

Poor wifi, no Visa card, paid pool not a 5* hotel !

I have been really disappointed of this hotel. First check in and check out is super slow, in addition they Card machine doesn't work with Visa so I had to go to the closest bank to take cash : no convenient for a business trip and billing. The wifi is super slow in the chamber and breakfast area, et emails couldn't synchronise on outlook. I had a bad experience in the shower : one day I couldn't have cold water it was only super hot which was really bad experience as you can imagine .. For your information you have to paid ~20$ to use he swimming pool : I think it's not acceptable for such hotel prices. And finally one morning , Sunday morning at 9am a staff make noise fixing some stuff just in front of my room: you can see the picture in attach. Last but not the least all of the staff wasn't so friendly : they mistaken an address I ask for taxi, no saying basic such "thanks you" and "please" So be advice , for such price you can find better service and quality...

I absolutely loved my stay at the Vaperse! It is in an excellent location. There is heaps of shopping and dining in the local area. It is situated close to everything in central Guangzhou. The views from my room overlooking the city and Canton Tower were amazing. The rooms were lovely and clean and comfortable. My room had an enormous bathroom complete with bathtub. The breakfast buffet each day was enormous with so much to choose from. Staff were friendly, attentive and obliging. It was so easy to get a taxi outside - the staff were happy to assist. The afternoon tea was absolutely astonishing. The swimming pool was breathtaking with phenomenal views of the city and there is always a lifeguard on duty. King (staff member) was an absolute delight and made so much effort to make me feel welcome. You can also use the sauna or get a massage at the property. It's a little pricey, but if you want to pamper yourself, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property and would not hesitate to recommend...
