Grand International Hotel Guangzhou — Hotel in Guangzhou City

I visited the hotel for business at the end of November. As per the title of my review, it was adequate. The rooms were large and comfortable with all the extra amenities. Bathrooms were nice. Nothing special about the decor, but they were nice and clean. |The staff were not helpful and not very friendly. |Wifi throughout the hotel was really good. |I did look at the gym facilities which looked quite old and the gym has carpet which is stained, but the range of equipment is good. I did not use the facilities. |Pool area looked really nice but I did not have time to use it. |There is no longer a spa at the hotel which was disappointing as I had wanted to book. |The breakfast buffet selection was fairly good, but trying to get a waiter for tea and coffee is difficult. |There are some really nice restaurants within walking distance, and I did manage to find a small spa that offers basic spa treatments within walking distance. |Overall the stay was comfortable enough for a short...

This is the first time I stay in Grand international hotel， the room is comfortable and warm. I liked the restaurant on the first floor, which was good and delicious with lots of Canton food, also the price was good. hotel is far away from Metro station，while it is very convenient to book a car or taxi in hotel by door man. Hotel has a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool which is closed in the Winter. The Spa is also perfect, I recommended it if you have time to step in. I never see a bar here but the lobby bar was quite and good for us to meet the suppliers here with some coffee and tea. I definatly will come back if I have business...

Mostly positive. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful. Rooms- a little old- clean and well kept. Gym needs more equipment - if you are inclined to fitness on your trip-a clean and well presented pool. Suggestion- for the English speaking traveller- maybe a couple of extra channels. A short bus ride- or 30 min walk to T Mall-staff will assist. Found all service staff/cleaners and concierge - very efficient. Beer/drinks prices at bar- avoid- no tap beer-excessive $$.
