La Perle International Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

i am currently staying in la perle international, i had a few incidents that i would not expect to encounter in any supposedly high end hotel. first unlike the other high end hotels that i stayed in guangzhou near the pazhou fair the staff lack the knowledge of simple english which is very annoying to myself. i had to use my translator for almost everything. the second and most unwelcoming moment was late at night i had a delivery which i had to pay for and partly my fault i thought i had enough cash but i was short 2000 rmb which isn't a big amount but i tried the cash machine at the reception but it wouldn't despense any cash, so i went to the reception and explained the answer of the person in charge was this only accepts chinese cards, still it's understandable. so i asked him if he can charge my card and charge me interest he refused so i told him that he is already holding more than double that amount as.deposit and I'm good for it but his answer was sorry I can't, which really ticked me off. so i asked him at least can you help me find a soloution he replied " i only answer hotel problem" so i said isn't this related to the hotel since I'm a guest and he said plainly NO . his name is benny li and he works as an assistant manager. so at the end he told me to roam around and find a machine that will accept my card. i was so angered, confused and frustrated. anyhow i wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy. sorry but i didn't have 1 good experience to praise this place. I’m always in China every 6 months on business and part of my itinerary is staying in Guangzhou where I can meet certain suppliers who are based around the Dongguan region.||Usually stay at a different hotel on Tianhe bei called they garden international hotel which I’d recommend but anyway back to this place and it’s location which is pretty central but what you don’t know is you’ve got to walk round the backstreets of Guangzhou to get to which being a foreigner in there eyes and looked at with distrust by locals not the best thing to do at night.||Rooms are tiny and pics are misleading with adequate sized bed and shower facilities.||Tv wasn’t clear HD quality with no foreign channels such as CNN.||Hotel is full of predominantly local nationals so rooms are smaller and staff have that local rude mentality compared to staying at a more international hotel such as the Marriott or The garden international where staff are trained in western hospitality.||To give an example I asked the doorman to help me find a taxi to get to a location which I showed him on my IPhone to which he just snatched out of my hand and walked off behind reception!! I stood there looking at him thinking you pleb if you did that in London I’d have nutted you!||Picture attached says it...
