Jian Li Harmony Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

The hotel is located next to the Guangzhou East Railway Station... alot eateries & restaurants... ||During check in, i emphasize that the rooms must have good air con ... cos the summer heat is killing us....to my surprise.. the room aircon was not working... for some reasons.. i called & called.. for 1 whole hour the maintenance people didnt show up... my hubby went down to complain.. they told my hubby they dunno where they are.. they offer to change rooms for us.. so we test 2rooms.. only 1 is cooling enough.. sigh... can't imagine such basic request they unable to provide... move to our new room.. discover there were mosquitoes flying around.. we wanted to change rooms again...but the lady told us all rooms has mosquitoes.. she ask us to us the electrical mosquitoes repeller provided in each room to "settle" the problems... sigh... ||we start to notice the wall paper in the room are peeling off.. the bed were rock hard...||The health club in the hotel was a bonus...they offer good massage...||Other than that....the hotel is only 2stars...

We were on Guangzhou for the trade fair and were booked into this DIVE...absolutely disgusting!!||Guangzhou Kebat Hotel....it was that bad I didnt event get out of the car!!!. So this hotel was a||last minute booking online. It is situated adjacent to the Guangzhou Railway Station, and our room was on the station side, but the noise did not bother me..The room was very clean and spacious, the hotel staff could not have been more helpful. Only a few speak english but the manager was a fantastic help!...We were there for the Canton Fair but had one meal in the restaurant which was very nice. The hotel is within walking distance of shops, banks, money changers etc and Starbucks is just down the road. The Train station itself has a HUGE shopping mall so you must go visit there also. Overall, we were very happy, and would stay here again...We visited in April, which was quite humid, but the air conditioning was working.Try and request a room on a high floor like we did, and the trains wont bother you. thankyou to the staff, we hope to...

Stayed here to attend the Canton Beauty Expo. Great location to Guangzhou East train station.||Yes the hotel is well priced but they commented on there web site that they had English speaking staff. I saw very little English staff in the reception area. Could not understand my questions and it was impossible to find out questions I had. Room service and restaurant menus are not available in English so that counts out eating in the hotel. Rooms are average, mattress was hard as a rock and hotel in general is tired and needs some work. Would not return...
