I stayed at the sapphire for 3 days. As others have mentioned it's in an excellent location particularly for shopping and food. The elephant trunk hill is only about 15 minutes by foot. Seven star park is about a 25 to 30 minute walk. |Reception staff and tour booking staff speak minimal to no English but they try. Be prepared for a 200 yuan deposit.||My room was small but clean. For the price and considering I was alone the size was fine with me. ||This place probably does rent by the hour on occasion as I received a couple of "business cards" under my door for services from local women. Also the mini bar..I'm not sure what else to call it...had condoms available for a reasonable fee. I mostly found that amusing. And hopefully...as one reviewer implied..my room wasn't used while I was away. ||Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a budget friendly...

Asked reception if there was any security, or could people from the street just wander in & go up & down the corridors at night. Suddenly, no-one spoke English (there was barely any prior to this, but now there was absolutely nothing). The lady on tour desk attempted to convey our concerns, but her English wasn't very...
