The first mistake was the bad travel agent Bravofly, UK that gave a misleading booking reservation from previous voucher redemption because of unreasonable withholding of flight ticket refund.||We booked for 2 nights stay at Bokai Westlake Hotel, Hangzhou which the booking stated clearly 2 Nights but on checking in, it actually turned out to be a time stay of only 3 hours stay for slightly less than Rmb200 for each day. We were asked to pay another Rmb 400 to stay overnight which is exhorbitantly high to get a small dirty dinggy room without any house keeping, no drinking water, damaged TV and dirty towels. Further more when wanted to pay through credit card for the Rmb 400, the reception lady insisted to pay through wechat pay to a personal name account that l suspect the front desk staff pocketed the money. With a total of close to Rmb 600 for 2 nights, l could have got a 4-5 star hotel booking during this off peak season.||Reception staffs very unfriendly and not helpful when asking for direction of how best to go Wuzhen from Hangzhou, she insisted for us to take their day tour package and drop off at Wuzhen, if do not want to return.||The only thing good is within 5 minutes walk to subway and restaurants within 2-5 minutes walk distance. Bakery shop and fruit stall opposite and noodle shop next door.||Do not recommend this dishonest...
Read moreI stayed at Bokai in Nov 2017. It is my 4th time staying at the hotel, the previous stay was in 2015. Reception service is ok. They don't speak English but I can speak chinese so all is fine. However the housekeeping has deteriorated so much. I can bear with the room being old but it has to be at least clean. Housekeeping is basically to replace towels and toiletries and to pull the blanket over the bed. We made some tea which was unfinished. The cup and contents remain there. They did not wash the cups. No vacuum of floor as the menthol and tissue paper that I dropped on the floor remain there till I check out 3 days later (I did not pick up as I was trying to see if would clean up the next 2 rounds of housekerping). I use to recommend this hotel to friends. Not sure about now. Good for those who want a hotel which is value for money with good location but able to tolerate not...
Read moreI haven’t actually got into the room.||We arrived around 6:20pm, the reception girl told us there’s no room left for us because we didn’t arrive before 6:00pm (this rule cannot be seen anywhere on the website) this is the least I wanna expect after a long day travel. ||The reception girl has zero respect to the costumers, trying to send us to a hotel next door (which is more expensive) and refuse to pay the price difference.||My complaint is mainly because of the irresponsible 2 receptionists, rude, trying to find excuses to blame the costumers.(Like we haven’t paid in advance, we were late, we didn’t provide the credit card detail in advance, this is weekend it should be more expensive than the weekdays..etc) ||Wasted our 2 hours waiting in the lobby.||Most...
