Good location nearing the west lack. the Hotel is connected to a Mall where you can buy all the possible items from most up class brand like Y-3, etc. you can probably explore. ||Admittedly, the hotel service level went beyond my expectation during my four nights there. The receptionist were super helpful most of the time - literally! On day one, I had an issue with a DIDI driver on the payment issue, I asked the receptionist to help as i am not sure of the local number to call; the ladies at the counter were right to the point helpful to the extend using her own mobile phone to call DIDI headquater on my behalf and addressed the issue right on the spot. I was totally IMPRESSED by their level of service beyong their call of duty.||The room was clean and the toilet was huge. TV programme has goo introduction of the places in HangZhou and what to do - infact, they had this West Lack what to do programme in it as well. further to that, you can select English, Chinese, Japanese and another language which I cant recall. ||Down part - Mall closes at 9:30 - 10 pm and opens at 10am. do buy some food and store in your room if need be. West Lake was within walking distance, bring your own water and umbrella during summer - you can get burnt by the sun light. Also, weekend has LOTS of people at the lake and you also get to do shopping along the way while walking along the side walk - right opp the side walk you would see many fashion stores and even LV if my memory serves me well.||TIPS;|Do bring RMB cash as most small retailers dont accept credit card as they use WECHAT mobile payment. you need a China bank account in china in order to lock that card into your wechat account. American Express is not widely accepted as well, VISA is pretty ok in large malls.||For public transport you can use DIDI - download from iTune or Google Store. You can use your non china credit cards. But you have to make sure the transaction is through when you arrived at your destination. cash is only accetable for TAXi and not premier or express service in DIDI. remember, TAXI uses cash and other services uses card transaction via DIDI app.||Overall HZ is a wonderful place for food lovers. The Braised Pork Belly Dong Po Rou will definately change your life from the inside out.||Shopping can be real affordable when on discount - also the local designer brand can be super stylish but expensive. ||Have a...

Read moreMy friends and I booked two nights at this hotel through Agoda. To reach the hotel from Shanghai Pudong Airport, we took a long distance bus and alighted at Wulinmen, which was about a 10 minutes walk to the hotel. Do note that Google Maps places the hotel in the middle of a park which is not accurate - enter the hotel's address instead (No 333 Tiyuchang Road) and it should give you the correct position.||||We had a twin room, and the rooms were very spacious. Apart from the two single beds, there was also a sofa, coffee table, television, working desk and chair and a built-in wardrobe. The bathroom was very spacious as well with both a bath tub and a standing shower as separate facilities.Toiletries, towels, slippers and hangers were provided and the room was made up every morning. The decor of the room may look a bit dated but everything is in a clean and working state.||||The location of the hotel was pretty good. The main attraction, the West Lake (Xihu), is relatively near although you might be better off calling for a Didi car to fetch you there. It is also situated in an area with plenty of food options and mid-range to upscale shopping malls.||||The hotel and the room were very good, and for the price, I would definitely strongly consider returning to this hotel should I visit...
