I wish i could give half bubbles. 3 seems low, but 4 seems high.||The location is just ok. It is right next to the highway, but there is little to do in the immediate area.||The hotel is nice. The public areas are well kept and have nice decor. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a variety of options. ||The rooms are comfortable. Beds a little firm. Do be aware that like many Chinese hotels they don't give you access to the AC until the summer months. However, the window opens some and fans are available upon requests.||The bathroom is fine, but the tub doesn't have proper drainage for the amount of water output by the shower leaving you standing in a pool while showering.||The hotel also didn't have roll-away beds, which forced us to have to share a king with our 5 year old overactive octopus. Not ideal as no one got a great nights sleep.||Lastly, the hotel leaves condoms at the bedside. While I appreciate the concept, it sends a message I don't want to receive in a 4* hotel. Plus, a curious 5 year old is bound to think of the gift as candy. It os also something extra for housekeeping to clean up, which sometimes they miss (as I noted while plugging in my charger behind the nightstand).||Would I stay again? Not likely, but was pleasant enough for the two...
Read moreWherever the walls were wood in this room, they were all sticky. Don't know what it was from, but it was gross. Ignoring the walls though, the view of the city from the room was quite nice, the colorful pleated wall hanging behind the bed was pretty and we loved, loved the bathroom amenities and pillows (some quite quirky to us "foreigners") offered here. Turquoise bath salts, horse lotion, bamboo salts hand sanitizer, chrysanthemum, buckwheat or cassia seed pillows, a wooden fine-toothed comb, etc (check out my photos). The bed was extremely comfortable, as was the case at all of the hotels we stayed at during our 13 day trip to China. The TV is behind a painting, the bathroom is separated from the bedroom by an opaque window (typical all over China), the lights go off/on and the window curtains automatically open and close when you put/remove the room key card in its holder, and the breakfast (smoked fish, made to order eggs, soups, tofu dishes, fat bacon, red bean and other bean dishes, congees, toppings for everything, etc.), served in an elegant dining room, is huge and beautifully presented. Although we packed bathing suits, we were very disappointed that the pool was closed for renovations. There are beautiful plantings in the modern,...
Read moreMade a mistake and booked this hotel again as other good hotels were occupied. I regret deeply that I did it. The rooms were so horrible, smelly, not clean. The hotel service stuff is unbelievable poor and got limited eduction and know how to treat customer.||||This time the beds were used and not fresh. Carpets in the roo around 55 years old. Smelling like a bordell. I am really surprised that this kind of hotels can exist. I will better sleep on the street than in this hotel. They even didn't gave me an alternatively rooms as all room categories are the same kind. You can pay 100% different price but receiving the same messy room. Beside that the rooms are located next to the highway. As there is no isolation, you better sleep under the bridge of that road as it is more convenient. I am really upset about that hotel as I didn't got a room that night and slept later in a...
