Hotel is very well located to the West Lake. Approx 15 mins walk. It is close to the night market and also a number of food halls. There is a coffee shop right downstairs on the right hand side of the hotel which makes great coffee. There is also 7/11 shop. Metro is also downstairs less than a min walk away.First impression checking in wasn’t great - English on checking in was difficult. Probably due to slight language barrier felt not as warmly welcomed as other hotels. I expect hotels that receive foreigners should have basic level check in. They also were very particular on how who should go into each of the three rooms but I said it we will sort this out between us. After that it was fine we went to our rooms. Rooms are quite outdated and could do with a bit of an upgrade especially with handles coming loose.Rooms come with bath robes, tooth brush, toothpaste, combs, Ted Baker toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel) and slippers. They also provide water bottles daily and there are ones you can take free as you head out towards the lift which is a nice touch. The hotel housekeeping staff were the best despite language barrier they were very polite, courteous and professional. Very helpful as well. There was a housekeeping lady who came to help us with wifi as we did not have a China mobile number and she also knew we had three rooms booked. She helped with two of the rooms and asked if the other room needed help but they didn’t. There isn’t much of a place where guest can relax as they come back to the hotel. There is a small space on the left hand side as you enter the hotel which has a football table, toy dispenser machines, limited seating area. For anyone who wants good location to West Lake I would say this is it. However I think there are better hotels out there. Closeness to food and restaurants is a bonus. Rooms are clean but could do with an upgrade. It’s weird to have a window in the shower room that is directly onto the room as doesn’t give much privacy if all lights on....
Read moreIn June 2024, my three daughters and I stayed at Zhejiang Hotel for five days. It was a great experience. The hotel clearly put forth lots of attention to please their guests. Our family suite bedroom had a soft comfy king size bed, and a set of comfy bunk beds with a twin size bed up above and a double size bed below. My kids loved the decor of the room - with all adorable stuffed animals, matching beddings, rug, and curtains. My 8 year old especially loved the in room play tent, small swing and slide play structure, kid theme mugs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers and a matching toilet seat and a stepping stool. The room also came with a mini fridge, tea mugs, tea set, fresh fruits, snacks, large TV, a desk and chair. The ceiling tall windows provided an incredible view of the city outside. The room was overall great! Best of all was - it had free laundry machines available. The cleaning crew were the sweetest and helpful. Three ladies came to help us with connecting WiFi for all our devices, gave suggestions for the area and cleaned our room daily. When they saw we had lots of clothes to wash, they insisted on helping us get them washed, dried and delivered back to our room all neatly bagged too. Incredibly helpful and kind of them. The breakfast buffet was also great with lots of yummy food choices. The cook behind the noodle station was helpful and friendly. The food manager was the most welcoming. She greeted every guest and made efforts to talk to everyone in the room. My daughters found her extremely professional and friendly. The hotel is located not far from train stations, and only 5 minutes walk from a huge shopping mall and a restaurant alley. Overall, very happy with this hotel experience. It is definitely recommendable and we'll return to it for future trips to Hangzhou. Overall, Zhejiang Hotel was a wonderful experience. We highly recommend it and will certainly...
Read moreThe Zhejiang (Business Hotel) is an excellent Hotel - well located near the Fengqi Rd. subway station. On the hotel front it only says Zhejiang Hotel - so it can be confused with a bunch of other hotels with similar name.||Though I had an unpleasant experience on my arrival - my booking was not found - apparently it was accidentally deleted by the hotel reservation company (CTRIP) - so can't really blame the hotel. It did take about half an hour to resolve the issue - to my statisfaction.||I got an excellent room on the 12th floor - same floor as the restaurant where breakfast (and other meals) is served every morning from 06:30 to 10:00.||I stayed in this hotel for 5 days. The service was excellent - they could use a bit more staff with some knowledge of English.||I can only say good things about the breakfast - very good choice of food for both Western and CHinese palate. I had several guests for breakfast, all were satisfied with the offering. The staff at breakfast was particularly friendly.||Only thing lacking in the room was an in room safe which is usually common at this level of hotels.||The location is right at the subway stop and also about 10-15 minute walk (South-West) to the Western Lake - certainly worth the visit. It is also about the same distance from Wulin Square (North) and from many luxurious shopping malls along Yan'an road going South.||I definitely recommend and would...
