Home Inn Central Street Harbin — Hotel in Harbin

My friends in China booked this hotel for us to stay in as we were travelling together, they had stayed in this brand in other cities and had always been pleased.||||This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever entered... even my Chinese friends couldn't stay here. Even from being dropped off by the taxi out the front we knew we couldn't stay there, the stench was beyond belief.... but we thought we would go in and check it out, who knows, maybe the rooms will be good... they weren't. Noisy, drafty & not clean. ||||It was quite late at night, but we knew there was no way we were staying there, so we had to leave. Ended up checking into one of the big brand hotels purely because we were travel weary after a whole days travel to get up there, was substantially more expensive.... but we didn't have to mess around hoping it would be comfortable & knew they would have reception open.||||again, it isn't the brand that is bad, Home Inn has been fine for other hotels my friends had stayed in, but DON'T STAY...

It's an OK hotel. It's just reasonable for families travelling in a budget. However the rooms were neat and clean. I stayed there for four days and it was winter. The central heating worked fine and the beds were comfortable. The free wifi is not up to the mark but you complain cause well it's free. The breakfast was again OK. The juices were good but the fruits were not that fresh. Though they serve a quite range of breakfast item which is surprising in that low rate.||Overall, moderate, family friendly budget hotel. Though the quality and service may vary from branch to branch. My one was quite good.||p.s: Language might be a problem for cooperating with staffs. But then...

Wir waren in Harbin während des Snow and Ice Festivals. Das Hotel liegt sehr nah an der Innenstadt, dem Zhaolin Park und dem Fluss, der komplett zugefroren ist. (Somit kann man auch zur Snow and Ice World laufen, sollte aber mindestens 30 Minuten dafür einplanen) Das Frühstücks Buffet ist sehr gut und kostet umgerechnet ca. 2€. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, auch das Bad war sauber. Täglicher Zimmerservice. Vom Personal darf man nicht zu viele Englischkenntnisse erwarten. Aber sehr freundlich. Konnten schon...
