This hotel has recently upgraded and renamed Mercure Hotel. The staff are super friendly and eager to answer all our queries and doubts. It is within 5 mins walking distance to St Sophia Cathedral and about 5-8 mins from Central Street. A mall, Mykal, is just next door and some eateries are just within reach. The rooms are a tad small and lack of storage space but the clean and newer renovated interior in exchange made the stay a very pleasant one. Free Laundry and Drying Facilities, Gym, Snacks and Coffee at lobby provided with convenience and the feeling of warmth in the cold winter weather. The staff greeted us like friends every time we passed by the small cozy lobby and we felt we were at home away from home. I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay. I especially wish to compliment staff, Doreen 林悦明, whom always patiently reply to my many questions in English and she tried her best to find out more information for us. Her daily smile when she greets us also makes us happy for the day. She's a gem to keep Mercure. ||||Oh, a point to note though, do bear in mind that I think smoking in bedrooms in China are allowed in some hotels. Our only one bad experience in Mercure, was we can smell cigarette smoke in our room and found out the smelly smoke came from a room 7 doors away with 3-4 guys smoking in the rooms while playing cards with the door widely open. Perhaps in time to come, smoking should be banned in all hotel rooms or doors should be closed...

It's just a short walk to both St Sophia Church and the Zhong Yang Da Jie, the main street. ||I wanted to thank Camelia who check in and also check out for us. She is very proactive and we can feel her enthusiasm and warm welcome to Harbin whenever we spoke to her. She also make sure she offered us the map while we are heading out to explore. ||The room we had is very spacious and it can fit two large luggages. There is also a seperate wardrobe area for you to hang your clothes and jackets. The bathrooms are also very well maintained, modern and bright. Water pressure is strong as well. The curtains are also automatic. There's bottles of water at every lobby which is very convenient.|They provided mouthwash which was very nice as the diet has a lot of garlic and the mouthwash came in handy. ||The hot beverage and self serve flower and chrysanthemum rose tea at the lobby is very nice and I enjoyed them very much. ||This hotel also complimentary the famously Harbin ice cream for us which is a very nice gesture so we don need to queue at the main street to buy. ||Breakfast spread is decent, but the noodle section is quite chaotic and had a very long wait with piled up orders. ||I would stay this hotel again if...
Read more我通過Booking平台預訂哈爾濱中央大街索菲亞美居酒店Mercure Habrin Central Street Sophia Church ,當天已馬上收到Booking平台的預訂確認,本人已多次透過Booking 聯絡客服和酒店方查詢,但一直沒有收到回覆,直到幾天後, 酒店發來訊息:您好,由於系統故障,導致價格有誤。||||當中沒有提及重新價格,本人再次向酒店方查詢,但一直沒有收到回覆。再過一次, 平台顯示顯示我的信用卡失效,並要求更新,否則將在24小時內取消訂單,本人更新操作過兩次,均有相同顯示,顯然,這是酒店方不想按訂單價格而在後台進行操作,就要用其他方式迫我取消,推卸責任。 ||||我馬上致電Booking.com平台客服查詢。客服向酒店查詢後回電,表示酒店承認自己出錯,但向我提出的價格是我原來預訂的10 倍! ||||我表示不接受,我認為價格有誤是酒店方的問題,不應由消費者承擔,也是提出按明天現時平台的房價來安排, 大約是現時酒店要求的一半, 但酒店不接受, 還和平台單方面一起單方面取消了我「已經確認」的訂單。 || || 我難以想像這是mercure 集團的酒店, 單方面違約操作 , 訂單確認後,酒店未主動與本人聯繫協商,卻通過平台反復操作聲稱"信用卡無效",試圖推諉因自身價格錯誤導致的責任,此行為已涉嫌服務協議。要求本人支付原訂單十倍的房費作為重新預訂條件,遠超合理範圍, 顯失商業誠信。||||I booked Mercure Habrin Central Street Sophia Church through the Booking.com and received the confirmation from the Booking platform immediately on the same day. I have contacted the customer service and the hotel through Booking many times, but have not received a reply until a few days later, when the hotel sent a message: Hello, due to a system failure, the price is incorrect and cannot be confirmed. It is recommended that you rebook.||||There was no mention of a new price, so I asked the hotel again but received no reply. Once again, the platform showed that my credit card was invalid and required me to update it, otherwise the order would be cancelled within 24 hours. I updated it twice and got the same display both times. Obviously, the hotel did not want to operate in the background according to the order price, so they forced me to cancel it in other ways and shirked their responsibilities. ||||I immediately called Booking.com customer service to inquire. Customer service checked with the hotel and called back to say the hotel admitted they had made a mistake, but offered me a price 10 times what I had originally booked! ||||I expressed my disagreement, as I believed that the price error was the hotel's problem and should not be borne by consumers. I also proposed to arrange it based on tomorrow's current platform room rate, which is about half of the current hotel requirement. However, the hotel did not accept it and unilaterally cancelled my "confirmed" order together with the platform. || || I find it hard to imagine that this is a hotel from the Mercure Group that unilaterally breached the contract. After the order was confirmed, the hotel did not proactively contact me for negotiation, but instead repeatedly claimed through the platform that "the credit card is invalid", trying to shirk responsibility for its own pricing errors.
