Elegant Hotel Shanghai Bund — Hotel in Shanghai

Horrible experience, do not book. Checked in at 10pm by very condescending staffs and checked out few hours later despite having multiple days booked.

Checked in and was informed that the hotel was under renovation, there is no AC / heating in the room. They provided a heater - which was acceptable to us.

Was then informed that there was no hot water in winter the next afternoon Fine, we accepted.

We asked for wine glasses and this was sent to the room. The gentleman who brought these glasses had the cheek to ask us to wash the glasses ourselves as their kitchen has closed. We called the front desk, and no apology was offered. We asked to check out and the front desk mentioned for us to leave the room asap, even though we had just unpacked. This is the first time we had this happened, as someone who travel and stay in hotels 200+ days a year.

Do book the room if you feel like washing glasses for paying 800HKD/night! 12/10 recommend. Worthy of my first...

Just stayed here for three nights with my dad. We were so lucky to be looked after by Jiangguiling. She is one of the most nicest people I have come across at a hotel, helping us change hotel rooms and going above and beyond to ensure any questions we had were answered.

I was also assisted by a lovely male who helped me with the delivery of my Taobao packages by contacting couriers on my behalf. He was so kind and patient.

I highly recommend this beautiful hotel with a beautiful delicious breakfast and warm lovely staffs.

RUDE STAFF and poor service!!! When we arrived, we were treated carelessly and completely ignored. For such high prices, the least you could expect is a smile and some basic hospitality. The drain in our room was clogged, so the shower flooded every time we used it. And to make matters worse, upon checkout the concierge took my phone and rated the hotel positively on my behalf without my permission. Absolutely...
