This place is a top choice if you only need to stay around the Hongqiao airport and Shanghai train station area. It is located within the walking distance, approximately 7 min, from the train station, and you can take the sub from there. So if you need to head for downtown, the commute isn't really that bad. The rate is much lower than in downtown Shanghai without any cutting down of quality.
The rooms are always clean and fresh as expected, and free of smoke. There is a couch as a mini living room and a kitchen that comes with cooking accessories. The television is placed at an awkward position though, but it's not a deal breaker, cuz you probably don't watch TV in China. There is a weight scale with body fat monitor function in each room, which it comes in handy for people who need to do it daily.
Staffs are friendly and helpful. The actual gym is a bit small with few options for work out, but at least it is clean and new. You get free bottle water from gym. Food at the hotel is good, and you get more options at the nearby...
Read moreI travelled to a few cities in China in this week and it happend all hotels booked are Hyatt. Surprisingly, in this mega city of Shanghai, this is the worst Hyatt hotel I ever stayed. The service is like 2- or 3-star hotel though the amenities is slightly better. Like what other have commented, you don't feel the warm service at the front desk, breakfast cafe, and elsewhere. I remembered the front desk serviceman named Carson was so cold that I felt like checking into a detention centre as he kept scrutinising my passport. When he handed over the room card together with a pack of toothbrush kit, I was really stunt and not sure whether to return that...

If that’s so Then it’s only fair they should at least inform the guests about it at the time of check in . I had paid extra for this room , it’s the minimum that is expected from a hotel with the...
