Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Hongqiao CBD by IHG — Hotel in Shanghai

Great holiday inn near Shanghai Hongqiao! I was very impressed with the cleanliness, service, and breakfast! Weekdays breakfast is 6:30-9:30, and weekends might be a half hour later on both sides but I’m not sure. The staff also spoke English which was very helpful. Also, the hotel is within 15 min moderate paced walk to Shanghai hongqiao railway station, and add another 10 to get to Hongqiao Airport.

One thing is it was a bit tricky to figure out how to get back into the railway station from the hotel, but eventually we figured it out.., you can go into some underground walkway/shopping center system and that will spit you into the rail station. Or, you can also walk to nearby the train station and go up to a pedestrian walkway Sky bridge… in any case, just allot yourself some extra time to walk back to the train station from the hotel!

If you need to be near from the airport or railway Hongqiao, HUB or CBD is really convenient this hotel. You are near but in a peaceful area. You cross the street and can use the underground road, so you avoid the noise, rain or hot and arrive to rhe HUBThe staff that’s made my check in was not friendly and both ladies didn’t speak Chinese, I know is my bad, but they near from an international convention area!The room is cozy and the bed really comfortable, the pillows were too soft for me.
