The location is indeed directly opposite Shanghai railway station but there is only one entrance to the hotel and is facing away from the station so you have to walk around and up a huge slope to reach the hotel. Hence, it was extremely tiring and inconvenient for tourists with huge suitcases or disabilities. Hotel overall feels very dated, dusty, and musty. The furniture were peeling, carpet was sticky, and most importantly, the aircon was not working!!! It kept blowing hot air which might be fine during winter but since we were living at a corner room, not much wind were able to enter the room despite opening the windows as much as possible. Additionally, the bedsheets felt unclean, after my mother slept in it, she got contact dermatitis and we had to buy disposable bedsheets to prevent her condition from worsening. As for their service, aside from the cleaning staff who are very proactive, the front desk staff seems very unprofessional and unfriendly. 3 hotel staff saw us lugging 3 huge heavy suitcases into the hotel and just stared at us (some might think is entitlement to expect some help with the luggage from hotel front desk staff because their main job scope is to help with check in and out but I guess I was spoilt by the service I received from a 3 star, small hotel in Suzhou the day before). Putting that aside, as front desk staff, their image and dressing represents the hotel so I guess I was kinda disappointed and surprised to see the lady who helped us checked in not wearing formal attire or any makeup, in fact, she looked like she just woke up. I have also witness them on their phones multiple times. Oh! They also do not provide any luggage scale, if anyone is wondering. Overall, service was pretty lukewarm, cleanliness and facilities were too poor, and location was ok if you do not mind walking and climbing stairs. 100% would not be staying here...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Park Inn by Radisson Shanghai, and I must say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-designed with modern amenities that made my stay very comfortable. The bed was cozy, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the bathroom was spotless and well-stocked. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary water, slippers, and a well-equipped work desk. The location is another big plus—conveniently close to metro stations and within easy reach of major attractions, yet quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep.Breakfast offered a great variety of both Western and local options, all fresh and delicious. The dining area was clean, well-lit, and nicely managed.Overall, Park Inn by Radisson Shanghai delivers fantastic value for the price. It’s perfect for both business travelers and tourists. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreUnfortunately, our stay at Park Inn by Radisson was very disappointing. We chose this hotel based on its central location and good reviews, but the experience fell far below expectations.1. At check-in, we struggled to even find the elevators for the first five minutes until we went back to ask the receptionist for directions.2. Upon entering the room, there was a musty odor instead of a welcoming atmosphere.3. The windows were extremely dirty, making it impossible to enjoy any outside view.4. The room had visible dust in every corner, and the carpet clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time.5. The bathtub drain was clogged, and worse, there was mold around the drain area, making it completely unusable. The only positive during our stay was the housekeeping staff, who responded promptly when we requested additional towels.Overall, we cannot recommend this hotel, especially for families. We are highly disappointed that Radisson maintains such a poorly kept property in the heart...
