Shenzhen Shanghai Hotel — Hotel in Shenzhen

Beautiful hotel, very comfortable room. My brother stays here so often on 1 night shopping trips. Loved the amazing Dyson hair dryer and incredibly smelling shower products/lotions. Complimentary slippers, use of a towelling bathrobe, a fabulous Poirot style umbrella (I wanted to buy it and you actually CAN for approx 70 (around €7.50/8). Lovely mugs for tea/coffee. (the receptionist gifted us one in beautiful packaging when we checked out!) Complimentary water bottles. They put together a wooden cot with adorable bedding for our 2 year old, cot was no extra charge. We stayed for 1 night to shop and experience Shenzhen with our family and booked 3 rooms between us. Absolutely huge shopping mall about 1 minute walk away. There was a cat fair/competition and our kids were in heaven. They also LOVED the very dapper robot that delivered our food/coffee order from a nearby restaurant, it came to our room by itself and delivered it. See the photo of one in action! So exciting for them! The reception staff are amazing, super polite and reserved but so helpful and kind. They gave our 3 youngest kids (8,5,2) a Lego set each, 3 or 4 pull back train and a large dinosaur toy, all complimentary, also gave us 2 car teddies (that gang from your mirror). I bought 2 hand towels and the beautifully stitched laundry bag for 90 (approx €9.50) and they put them in a cloth gift bag. Lou Xingmei was our check out receptionist and she is amazing, she deserves a promotion. She sent us up 2 cartons of chilled milk in the morning on request for our toddler, complimentary. Highly trained, so polite, gentle and couldn’t do enough for us. We had our luggage stored while we went to a restaurant after we checked out. Overall wonderful place to stay. Well done...

The bed was super comfy, and the pillows were just right. The bathroom was well-stocked with amenities, including a bidet, a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, and luxurious Acca Kappa products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and moisturizer). Nice touch!📺 AmenitiesThe TV had basic local channels—nothing fancy, but enough for winding down. There was a mini fridge and an electric kettle, and some biscuits as snacks.🏋🏻♀️ Facilities and ServicesThere’s a small gym—good for cardio or light workouts, but not ideal if you’re into heavy lifting. We spotted the hotel’s robot service cruising around, which was fun to see. There’s also a self-service laundry room, which is super convenient for longer stays.🌇 Location & ViewMy room had a decent city view. The hotel’s location is great—close to malls with plenty of shops and restaurants. “Wondermeet” is just down the street, so it was easy to pop by.🍳 Breakfast BuffetHonestly, I’d skip it. The buffet was very limited and not restocked regularly. There are better breakfast options nearby, so you’re not missing much.✅ OverallClean, comfortable, and well-located. The room had everything I needed, and the extra amenities were a nice bonus. Just don’t count on the breakfast. I’d stay here again for the convenience...

We stayed at the Shanghai Hotel for three nights during our trip to Shenzhen and Hong Kong.||||It is an impressive looking building. The room was spacious and has everything you could need such as air conditioning, safe, fridge, complimentary bottles of water, desk, wardrobe, WiFi etc.||||The bathroom was also spacious although it did have a large clear glass partition between it and the main room which was strange (luckily there was a blind that could be pulled down for privacy)!||||It is located very close to Huaqiang Rd metro station which is only 5 stops from the Luohu checkpoint if travelling from Hong Kong. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and it is also a short walk from the Huaqiangbei electronics markets. The Dongmen tourist area is only 5 metro stops away too although there are many shops and restaurants only a short walk away from the hotel.||||Although it is in a busy area I never found outside noise to be an issue when staying there.||||The staff were very helpful with organising taxis etc. ||||I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anybody looking a good value hotel in a...
