Stayed 3 nights last week! The room was reasonable in size . It was clean n tidy. I like the wooden floor. The mattress was firm. The light in the bathroom was a little bit too dim. Water pressure and temperature were good! A laptop was placed on the desk top in the room. There were regular tea bags in the room. In addition , there were Chinese “ Kung Fu tea bags” with tea set provided. Surprisingly there were flower tea offered daily! Sweet! The soft drinks in the fringe were free. Of course, the bottle water were well provided. The breakfast was good but more in the local Chinese style! The scramble egg was barely acceptable. The coffee deco was graceful ! There was free shuttle from the airport/hotel. It is enjoyable to view the Gulangyu from the window . |The location is convenient in which near to the shopping n dinning spots .|The staffs were friendly and helpful! |I can’t see there’s any reason not to...
Read moreLocated at the end of the most densely populated tourist street in Qianmen, Lujiang Harbourview hotel is overrun with traffic and tourists whom provide the background noise for the rooms 24/7. Unfortunately the hotel staff were unable to help me organize a day trip to tulou villages, they refused to use their concierge laptop to search for tours. The ferry port is close by, but this ferry is only for chinese citizens - the hotel couldn’t tell me how to get to gulangyu island as a forigner since ‘they were not foreigners’... wow! So I only got to do half the things I wanted to do and I attribute that in part to the attitude of, and lack of support from, the hotel staff. I did speak to a manager who only asserted what her staff had said. Overall I was very...
Read moreI stayed in Xiamen for a week while attending a workshop in the hotel conference room. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with excellent English. The room was very comfortable - firm but not too hard, excellent shower, complementary beer in the fridge (I’d never seen that before!). The meals were all in-house with excellent buffet selection and service if you wanted something else. The location was in the heart of Xiamen, and close to the ferry to the island. We had a medical incident with one of the workshop attendees and I was impressed with the genuine and speedy assistance provided by the hotel staff. Highly...
