My husband and I have traveled extensively and always enjoy the more personal experience of staying in a B&B. We carefully research and book only at the very highly rated ones. We have however never experienced the type of hospitality and travel support we enjoyed at Bogota B&B Inn. Not only is the setting exquisite but the kindness and generosity of Beatriz and her sister Chris is to a degree we have never before experienced.|Our breakfasts included wonderful Colombian coffee ( always available!) fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juice, rolls , jams, eggs as well as tamales and yuca croquettes.|Beatriz assisted us at every turn- walking us to local places ( supermarket, drug store, atm) . We also enjoyed a day trip with her to the Nemacon Salt mine and ended it with dinner at the famous Andres de Carne Res restaurant. She guided us to a local flea market , farmer’s market and even took us on a special shopping trip downtown so my husband could get materials to mimic some of the lovely work that Beatriz ‘s husband did on the beautiful wooden doors in the inn. Incredibly she also dealt with the domestic airline I was having trouble working with and set up bus transportation as we |headed north of Bogota.|From a careful read of reviews before booking at this B&B we knew that our stay would be no less than excellent but we were unprepared for how much comfort, kindness, expertise and friendship we...
Read moreIf you are visiting Bogota and you are not staying with friends or family in a private house, then you must stay here. Located in the quiet, safe and charming neighborhood of Teusaquillo, (which is easily and inexpensively accessible to everywhere in Bogota) this place has everything you need.||Let's start with an incredibly comfortable room, private bath and rain head shower. The Inn has been beautifully and meticulously restored and will make you feel like you are in a home away from home. And the amazing hosts, (Bea and Ricky) who genuinely try to provide you with the best experience possible in Bogota. They will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable.||There are many neighborhoods in Bogota that aren't just sketchy at night, but during the day, too. Not this one. I would be completely comfortable walking around by myself at midnight. Uber is cheap and any attractions in central Bogota are either walking distance or a 5-minute, $3 Uber ride. Plenty of great restaurants within the local neighborhood, as well. Ask the hosts - they will point you in the right direction!||Also, don't pass up a chance to take a drive to the Nemocom salt mine and Andres Carne de Res in Chia. It's a full day of adventure and fun tooling around the...
Read moreThis is a wonderful property with great hosts ! The owners Rick and Beatriz are the kindest and most caring folks you will find. We stayed with them for three nights and they were always there for us with restaurant ideas, directions and tour suggestions. A nearby Italian restaurant that served fabulous food was their first recommendation. So tasty and inexpensive. Rick even walked over with us to introduce us to the restaurant owner. On our second day there, we mentioned in passing that we might want to go to the Salt Cathedral and Lake Guatavita outside of Bogota. Rick immediately picked up his phone and spoke to a gentleman who owns a taxi and van service. He helped arrange a full day tour that was absolutely great. And the price was so reasonable. It felt like we had our own concierge service our entire stay. The property is a real gem. They have rebuilt/remodeled an older structure, and created a wonderful bed and breakfast with all of the modern amenities combined with an old world style. Breakfast was always excellent. We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience at the Bogota Bed and Breakfast inn. One more thing, they have priced the rooms at a very...
