BBC PUB SAN MARTIN — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

This is supposed to be a beer brewery but there beer is sub-par at best, I know beer around the world and there selection is not great. ONE LAGER ON THE MENU? Porque? There should be about 4 lager beer selections on the menu. This place is decorated beautifully but I'm not an interior decorator coming to a decorator bar interior show! I came to DRINK beer good beer in Colombia! I want to reiterate that they did a wonderful job on DECORATING this brewery. Also the food smelled great, but the beer was just okay. I'm sorry but I really expected more from this place, I am staying in chapinero, and I wanted to try the Chapinero porter well sorry they didnt have it, then I wanted to try Policarpa la fuerte sorry sorry out of season, WHAT? to me there is one season In Bogota super nice. So my girlfriend tried palenquera Coco and it was just okay. The atmosphere is pretty nice the waitresses were okay but again I'm shocked there wasnt a better selection and better BEER! So it's okay to go and try but do not expect to much!...

Check you invoices, especially if you are a foreigner!! First, that guy at the cashier/bar charged more than we ordered. When claiming that, he got very mad and disrespectful. I said that I don’t want to pay service fee for this kind of “service” and he started flipping out and telling me I should go back to my country!? I disputed this payment with my credit card company and I don’t recommend supporting those incompetent and racist….. people… they do not know how to treat a customer and this type of disrespectful behavior has never happened to me in any other city and country I traveled. Give this guy a bit of perspective and put him in the kitchen or cleaning toilets but he should not have any contact...

The beer was great, and the service was good, but if you're a tourist, be prepared for some sneaky pricing. We only stayed for three drinks, and while the price increased for the second round—we didn’t mind, despite already paying a decent service fee for drinks ordered directly at the bar—but on the third round they added an extra 7,500 to the price of a glass of wine while also serving one of the smallest pours I’ve seen. When we called them out on it, they refunded the difference, but by then, the experience had left a sour taste. It really felt like they were testing how much they could overcharge before we noticed.
