Hotel Faranda Express Belvedere — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

I have the pleasure to say that this is one of the Best Hotels around the world . I been in many different countries but I never had a good experience, I spent 10 days in Bogota the stay was more than I expected the service is Excellent the breakfast buffet is so delicious with many varieties to choose plus they let you order something different from the menu. The room was spacious , Tidy and neat the beds are so comfortable with king orthopedic pillows , they also had a lot chanels with movies, music for free and nothing was more pleasant for me and my boyfriend was when we were coming back to our room the fresh smell of cleanless , it was like we were at home. Our experience with the personal was awesome the people from the from desk was really kind, friendly and helpful . The location is perfect the neighborhood is safe and quiet with a lot shopping and restaurants , but I am really grateful to meet our unforgetable guardian angel Yulianni a Beautiful Wonderful Lady who treat us like Royalty. This was my first trip to Colombia and Bogota was my last stop. I am 77 and traveled alone and my Spanish is awful. I cannot thank the staff at the hotel enough. I was not too crazy about Bogota after coming from Cartagena and the coffee country. I had to be careful about where I went in Bogota and the weather was chilly and raining. The location of the hotel was not great so I had to use taxis and the traffic is horrendous. However, the staff here made my trip wonderful. I needed money so I went to an ATM in an office builidng. I watied in line and when my turn came I withdrew 300,000 pesos. I then took a cab back to the hotel. When I paid the drive he was furious. I went to the front desk and they told me the money was fake. I withdrew fake money from an ATM!! The hotel manager walked me to a supermarket where I withdrew money and he assured me it was real. How can an ATM machine dispense fake money?? I am embarrased to say that I don't remember the name of the young lady at the front desk, but she was wonderful to me the whole time. Almost everything was great, clean, the room, location but what really got me disappointed was that they say breakfast buffet is included and there’s a few issues with that service like 1-they don’t keep track of what’s running out. You have to tell them and they start making more. I had to tell them we needed more eggs a few times. 2-it’s the same issue with silverware, they don’t keep track that they’re running out and you have to ask for them but the biggest issue is that 3- they don’t remake everything. I stayed for a little over a week and In several occasions, when I went for breakfast, there was barely anything and the best they can do is make more eggs but if you wanted sausages, calentado or a few other things, they say they make enough so people can eat twice but they can’t control how much they eat which was very disappointing to hear.
