Hotel Salitre Real — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

I stayed at Hotel Salitre Rugal only for a few hours during a very long layover inbetween flights in and out of Bogotá. I had found it online and picked it based on price and availability of an airport transfer. The room was a bit small, but nicely decorated with a resonably priced minibar and tv with international channels. The bed was firm and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and had good water pressure in the shower. Room rate included just the airport pick-up. Return to the airport was extra, but very reasonable at just ca. 10$ US. My overall impression of the hotel was very positive. There are various shops, restaurants and a supermarket very close to the hotel. In general the neighborhood seemed safe to me. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but it helps to speak basic Spanish. I would definitely stay again at Hotel Salitre Rugal...not just...

We stayed at the Hotel Salitre for 5 days and were very pleased with our stay. It was conveniently located and offered everything we needed. We traveled with a group so we were looking for a nice, budget friendly hotel and this hotel fit the bill. It was very quiet and clean. It seemed like we were the only one´s there. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and the kitchen staff was very sweet. The cook asked if we preferred breakfast sandwiches or tamales on our last day- in spanish. There´s warm water and the water pressure is good. The only con we found is that the beds are a bit too firm, which made it a little hard for me to sleep, but I´m very sensitive when it comes to that. I stayed in this hotel for a week due to a business trip and stayed in a single room. Room are small, but basic needs are filled. Very good hot water flow.
