HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We stayed here for two nights and wish we could stay more. It is pure relaxation - island life in a rustic and calm way. The huts are perfect, clean, bug free and just what you need. Don't expect luxury, but you have comfy beds, mosquito nets, cold running water, wifi and electricity (we had it all day and night unlike other places). The staff are fantastic and friendly, even though we spoke no Spanish and they don't know English (google translate becomes your best friend), they were super helpful and cute. They also offer snorkeling and nighttime plankton trips, although we didn't do these. The free breakfast is great too, and we paid 35,000 for lunch on our final day which is an absolute must try - the ceviche was out of this world and comes with a huge salad, rice, fries and a drink. The location itself is a little tucked out of the way but reachable from Playa Libre beach and La Cocoterra beach in under 5 mins (both are great local beaches- the latter is way busier but has more shade). Make sure you take cash - this is a cash...
Read moreThis is a cute little place to stay. The chalets are basic but cosy and well maintained. No A/C but there is a fan and also mosquito nets. The chalets are set slightly inland but a simple 5-10 minute walk to Playa Libre (go right out the chalets and then left at the fork). WiFi works well. Guy who works there is really friendly Spanish speaking guy (Google translate really helpful if you’re not Spanish speaking). Communication prior to arriving could be a little better regarding boats, location etc. Note the chalet location is wrong on maps.me. When you arrive at Cocotera, walk through the Cocotera resort and then turn left when you get to the path…Mar Adentro a couple of minutes walk from there...
Read morePerfect place for Isla Grande. The rooms have a net for mosquitoes and a ceiling fan. Even if it's not on the seaside it is great because the free beach (playa libre) is a 10 min walk. We had as much fun swimming at the beach as walking on our way to the beach and seeing wild Iguana, lizards, exotic birds, etc. The host offers breakfast and some activities for an...
