Hotel Bucarica Plaza — Hotel in Bucaramanga

We reserved this hotel as a last minute budget option for one- night stay and we did not regret it. The hotel seemed brand new. It was located centrally in Bucaramanga, very close to bus stops of buses running in the direction of airport. ||Our room was rather small, very tidy, nicely furbished, with clean bathroom and hot water. ||Proper Colombian breakfast was served in the morning. We really enjoyed having a drink on the open terrace, located on the sixth floor as far as I can remember. ||There is a pleasant restaurant outside of the hotel- just across the street 50 m. to the left. It is located inside huge car park so the name is: Parqueadero Restaurante el Colonial. It may seem stupid to place a restaurant in a car park but the place was really nice, busy with customers and the food was very good, my favourite dish beeing local fish. The attendants don't know how to use the system, don't know how to operate the computer right and have the audacity to say that even though you make a reservation through BOOKING.com, that they DO NOT WORK WITH BOOKING.com. Tuvimos que viajar a Ocaña de trabajo y los buses que salían hacia allá se ubicaban en el parque cercano al hotel por lo cual decidimos quedarnos en este hotel. Es un hotel que queda en el centro, en el día la zona tiene bastante movimiento y comercio pero en la noche la zona es muy fea a pesar que hay una estación de policía en el parque.
