Hotel Ciudad Bonita — Hotel in Bucaramanga

NO LO RECOMIENDO !! NOT RECOMMENDED !! We decided to pay almost 70 US Dolars to staying here because the location was perfect, but being honest nothing was working properly, because our room didn't have curtains they moved us to a different room but that room was worse, Not Internet (basic service in a hotel), the telephone didn't work, receptionist kept lying about the network connection, apparently the internet works perfectly in their computers. The service at the restaurant was very slow, extremely slow! The restaurant staff didn't know about wine prices and they didn't show hospitality service taking everything so long. The badroom door and the windows looked old and disgusting. We got a Club Sandwich and hamburgers, the food really testing (the only good thing). High Point - The breakfast servers were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate and fresh, the coffee good. The room was clean and fruit and candy was left in the room each night which was a nice touch. ||Low Points: ||This gringo was not impressed by the cement hard mattresses or the small room for two. The noise from the street (horns honking) was only drowned out by ear plugs. Some of the front desk staff were helpful others were not interested. ||The pool looked inviting but I did not try it. This hotel is a fantastic place to stay. Affordable, rooms are clean and the staff is extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I stayed 4 days there and loved the buffet breakfast (included in rate) which had different options every day, fresh fruit and delicious coffee. I enjoyed sitting by the pool while working on emails in the morning. One of the best features about this hotel is the Seafood restaurant located in the main lobby: what a treat!
