Hotel MS Chipichape — Hotel in Cali

I have stayed at this hotel twice due to its convenient location near my family. While the staff are generally friendly and caring, there are significant issues. The bathroom has a weak flush and cheap-looking mirrors. The hotel caters more to corporate clients, causing early morning noise from showers and doors WIFI 5th floor weak couldn’t work from here but the worst experience was with housekeeping and the front desk. Despite paying for a late check-out, housekeeping approached me at 6:15pm at the restaurant in front a friend that was visiting me , saying we should have left at 7 PM as the room was book for a next reservation. This was surprising, as I thought the room would be unavailable the next day for disinfection since we were sick. They showed no empathy, even though my husband and I were unwell, and the room hadn’t been cleaned for the last three days during our week-long stay, the room was made up only twice because our fault we were most of the time inside sleeping Given these issues, I cannot recommend this hotel and won’t be returning. I arrived around 6 pm with a reservation. Hardly any 'buenas tardes, bienvenida' from the receptionist. She gave me the key, without indicating the lift, the floor, the direction I had to take to get to my room. She only told me that as of Tuesday the restaurant was open again. It was Sunday afternoon. I arrived to the room: window does not close, it's windy, so there was a permanent clatter. there are no mosquito net in front of the window. Cali only counts with Dengue, Zika, etc. the sink was shattered (ceramic). I did not felt secure at all. After a moment of reflection, I got my things together, booked another hotel, went to the reception, told her, that I was going to leave. Ohhh, we have got other rooms. TOOOOOO late, dear receptionist, do you know what customer service and quality means? At least, not to cheat guests.... and that's what you did. Never again I'll go back...

Even though I request an early check in, they told me the check-in policy was 3 pm. Since i arrived at 1145 from San Diego, I ask if the could check me in as soon as they can. They made me wait till exactly 3 pm not 2:45, not 2:59. What was aggravating was the 2 young clerks did not realize I spoke Spanish, and I let the manager know exactly how bad they appear to treat non-locals.
