i usually stay at the dorado, but the engina was recommended to me, so i decided to try it. i went there and was showed 2 rooms. i chooose the larger amd was given a price, and put one day cost down as a deposit. when i came back to stay, they tried to, first, give me a smaller room, then wanted to charge me more for the larger room, although a price had already been set. they also made me pay for all six nights in advance, which was not a problem. much larger rooms can be obtained at the dorado at comparable prices, they (engina) have no premium tv channels (ie hbo, etc.), and their breakfast is not very good. for these reasons, i decided i wanted to go to the dorado. it was past checkout time, so i had to stay another night, but i told the desk what i wanted to do. i was told by juan that he would have to check with his boss about giving a refund. i said please do, as i have a standing reservation at the dorado for the next four days. juan never spoke to his boss, for whatever reason, and did not tell the next shift guy anything about the situation. when i spoke to this guy and told him what i wanted, he said he saw no problem in getting a refund, and contacted someone on his telefone. he said that i would be refunded and given an accompanying receipt the next morning. i then made arrangements with the dorado to hold my reservation until this time. to wrap things up, they reneged on their promise, and would not refund me without paying a one day rate penalty, and gaving to wait to receive a refund eeceipt from their bogata office for some reason. in short, they dont practice good business, and this attitude is bound to overlap many other aspects of...
