Hotel Dorado La 70 — Hotel in Medellín

Three men walked into my room during my stay unannounced while two of my roommates were undressed and hotel management won’t do anything about it!! I rented 9 hotel rooms and a conference room at Hotel Dorado for 30 leaders of my nonprofit org for 4 days. On day 2 of our stay a mysterious man bolted into our room unannounced and saw my roommate completely undressed. Why would someone outside of our party could have access to our room!? We went to hotel managers Joanna and Marco and they won’t do a single thing about it. They tell us it is not a big deal just “a matter of perspective”. Shortly after reporting this, Marco charged into our room with another man behind him completely unannounced, didn’t knock, just opened the door while yet ANOTHER girl was undressing and would not leave the room claiming he is trying to “fix the problem”. Marco and Joanna need to be fired! At this point all the girls in my organization were scared, some were crying, we all felt completely UNSAFE. The management was harassing us. They have camera’s on every floor and when we asked they claim there is no footage of these events (how convenient!!!) so now we are filing suit against them so they can release the footage to us. On top of all of this mental &emotional trauma my girls went through,I spent over $3,000 for hotel rooms, conference room, and hotel catering and the hotel won’t refund us for the services and rooms we didn’t use after the incidents.This would be THE VERY LEAST...

We had a pleasant stay and the room was always clean when we came back. The staff is ready to help if we needed anything. The location of the hotel is great.||Aspects that the hotel could improve are:|Beds are hard|The halls upon exiting the elevator are dark...after a couple of seconds they light up but coming in the afternoon or at night with my boys, it was dark. |The breakfast needs to change completely. You get a ticket at the front desk for breakfast and then you get served once. The food is very limited and always the same. As an example, during one of our mornings we came down for breakfast at 8am I saw ham on someone's table and I asked the waitress if I could have some have for my boys. I was told that I could not get ham because I came in late and the manager said no and that they had been serving breakfast since 6am and that it is american style buffet. I told the waitress that the breakfast is until 9am and where I come from american buffet they replenish everything until closing. If they improve the breakfast, I will definitely return. I am hearing impaired. I request for a room from may 30 to June 26th they gave me quote and I paid for it . And then 4 days later they said I Owe them money . I asked them why? They said because I only paid for 4 nights! So I had no money left and had to look for another hotel. I had my family wire me money . But my dad was taken to hospital due to his heart condition. It was bad week for me . So the hotel refused to let me take my belongings. So I lost my clothes. And left there. My mental state was very bad . I had to deal with my anxiety for three days curling up on my bed trying to adapt my mental back to normal. I contact my lawyer and was recommended me to write them letter to get my clothes back and solve it and all that. I didn’t want to . I don’t even want to see this hotel and have the trauma again. It’s very bad for me . But the room and breakfast was good. Oh about the breakfast . . They never had told me I can have breakfast . I never knew about this. So I give it one star. It was emotional for me . And they had to call the police . But I managed to stay calm and Thank God for my doctor in Las Vegas able to cope me with my anti depressants...
