Mandala hotel Botero — Hotel in Medellín

Highly recommend Mandala!! You are in the heart of downtown Medillin but still feel safe. It's the closest you can probably be to the grit, and still be in a beautiful hotel. Right on the doorstep of Parque Botero for a walking tour, and right on the doorstep of markets. The hotel itself was lovely! Great rooms, good fans, lovely staff, 24/7 reception, good WiFi, food options literally next door. Also has a terrace to watch the business. Only thing, hold on to your key! We left ours in our room and there was no copy, but staff were lovely enough to fish it out of the window with a hook!...

Stayed here before due to location and had no issues. Today BIG DIFFERENCE. Reserved a certain room which was promised and costd more then the others they have here. Upon arrival I'm told no not possible and show the front desk my reservation and for the room which was reserved.. They tried to talk me into a shoe box room on the street side where there are all the Vendors and Craziness etc. I SAID ..HELL NO Finally over an hour later I got what I had booked .. Lovely place to visit the museums and the city center. But I had a few issues with the outlets, and didn't realize I could order food from the hotel, since there are no places to eat open on Sunday nights except the panadería. I'd recommend visiting on a weekday and getting up extra early while people aren't around as much and it's safe to move about.
