Fist a caveat - we had one of the two front rooms, overlooking the street, so there was some traffic noise from 5.30am or so but we're good sleepers. Also the room could have done with a little more furniture and gentler lighting but I'm sure Steven will deal with that (when he gets time off from the new baby). The location is perfect, one small block from the central plaza and an easy walk to anywhere in this lovely little town, which was quiet midweek. We also walked out to the weird mirador. Our room was spacious, with a nice bathroom and the breakfast was personal and good so we thought the place good value (it was the cheapest of our 6 Colombia hotels). There is a small shared balcony over the street and a supermarket and plenty of good eateries nearby, eg Orales Taco and Helena Adentro. There's also good wifi. When we asked Steven (who has perfect English) about a coffee tour he texted a friend and soon we were on a local bus and the driver stopped before the bus destination and pointed "Don Danilo, tres casas". Read moreMy husband and I arrived late in the evening. When we checked in, the host told us that the water supply to the entire town was out. He was super kind and accommodating and apologetic. We checked in and went for dinner and decided to find a room in Salento instead due to our strong need for a shower. When we informed the host, he was very kind about it and checked us out with no charge. He even asked about how we were getting to Salento and made sure the fare the driver quoted us was reasonable. ||||The property looked as good as it did in the photos and was located near the town square. I really hated to leave, but was in such desperate need for a shower that I had to go. I’ll be back to this place again (though I’ll call ahead to check on the state of the town’s utilities before...
