Lord Pierre Hotel — Hotel in Saint Andrew

It's amazing that despite all its poor reviews, this hotel remains as irredeemably and consistently bad as ever. Check-in was administered by harassed and unsmiling receptionist and felt more like reception to a custody centre, especially when we were given irremovable wristbands which corresponded to our meal plan. We were not allowed to go up to our room but had to wait 10 to 15 minutes to be accompanied by the bellboy. He had to check the minibar and get us to sign an inventory which, when we checked, included many items that were not there. The room was large and airy but far from clean. The air-conditioning was fierce and the unit leaked onto the bedside table, even when it was turned off. Th room smelled musty. The bathroom was shabby, the door was scuffed and did not shut and the light over the basin did not work. The bath mat was grey and frayed. The tiling was broken or missing and the water was tepid at best. The lift was out of action for maintenance and at 9:30 a.m. loud drilling started.||The restaurant was like a canteen in an institution like a school or hospital. The buffet was put out and congealing before the service started and the air con rendered the ambient temperature Arctic. So put off were we that we did not take our prepaid dinner, preferring to go out. I visited this hotel with 2 family members. We arrived on Jan 17th 2019 and left on Jan 21st.||||When we arrived at the hotel we had to wait 1 hr for our room to be ready, the male housekeeper was unfriendly. Also the hotel receptionists could improve their friendlyness. ||||Room was nice and big, but there was a musky mould smell coming from dirty AC vents. The bathroom needed more ventilation as there was mold particles and didn't look properly cleaned. Nice comfy beds and a 32 LED TV in the room. Refrigerator was old, obsolete and also very noisy. ||||They also need to try to block more outside noise coming from the hotel hallway since 2 nights we had to listen to loud music and children screaming and running just outside our room and everything could be heard inside, I didn't know we also needed earplugs so we could have a nice sleep, not nice at all.||||The restaurant was nice but the food could improve more, also kitchen staff need to be more friendly and smile more. It seemed like they were obligated to offer a service which is NOT free. They offered live music but they could improve more. Like adding some nice lighting or at least try to improve the mood, not just having a guy singing a karaoke.||||I would come back since the location is perfect, close to everything, nice restaurants, shops, etc. But I just wish they could improve their...

The bad: -the humidity in the rooms -the bathroom in the rooms are rusty and old -the bathrooms are old and with out renovations -the air conditioner doesn’t work -the rooms at night are always noice because of the nightclubs (even when the windows are close -the smell in the rooms -the service(they portion the food, get grumpy if you ask for more, the beverages are small and not good they are only tasty if you pay for them in the other bar which is the only that have music the all included doesn’t have). -the pool is until 6 pm and there isn’t a lifeguard at any moments -The hotel is old and falling apart ( it looks like the owners don’t invest in the hotel they recollect the money the hotel leave with the little time the hotel has left. -the elevator started working at the end of our stay (is in pretty bad shape ) work really slow, it doesn’t stop even with the floor, it stops 5 cm uneven with the floor -the cleaning service doesn’t do a good job cleaning, the rooms stay dirty. They don’t change towels. If you see them in a room they are always chatting and not working. -the people that work at the hotel prefer to talk and do a bad service.
