We visited Beer Station twice in two days, drawn by the great reviews. The first visit was for takeout: two Tayrona Picadas, which were absolutely delicious. The second time, we dined in to enjoy the nice views. We ordered Tayrona Picadas again and 10-piece chicken chunks (nuggets) with BBQ sauce which our 3-year-old asked for. Unfortunately, only those who ate the nuggets—our 3-year-old and her 79-year-old grandmother—fell badly ill with food poisoning, which ruined our vacations, forced an early return home, and ultimately resulted in a hospitalization.
To be fair, the local authorities appear to lack adequate enforcement of proper food safety standards, which may have contributed to this incident.
We were cautious during our stay in San Andrés, consuming only bottled water, pasteurized milk, sealed snacks, and mostly simple, safe, home-cooked meals. This experience made it clear where the issue originated. While the Picadas were excellent, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the serious food...
Read moreI had one of my worst dining experiences at Beer Station - San Andrés. I visited the restaurant with a Spanish-speaking friend who clearly communicated my order: a hamburger with only lettuce and onion in the bun, without any additional toppings or sauces.
When my order arrived, it had sauces inside the bun. I politely asked for a replacement, and while the waiter seemed friendly and assured me he would prepare a new one, I was disappointed to find that instead of making a fresh burger, they simply tried to wipe off the sauces and present it as new.
Upon noticing the leftover sauces, I explained again that this was not what I had ordered. To make matters worse, the waitress never came over to acknowledge the mistake or apologize for the poor service.
This experience was very frustrating and unprofessional. A restaurant should respect its customers’ requests and ensure food is prepared as ordered. I hope the management takes customer satisfaction more seriously...
Read moreTable of 10- Worst service and experience ever. Food arrived cold and stuff we ordered just never came. COVID Restrictions not held up to, the restaurant was full and tables really close to one another. I had to get up myself and go get my beer from the fridge because they took ages to get it to me . And to top it off, when paying the bill I was literally standing there for AGES with my ticket and card in hand and no one there to get my money. This place must hate paying customers . Forgetting ordered items and even charging for stuff I didn’t order. SURREAL. And finally, the incredibly rude door woman who checks that customers payed before leaving had the NERVE to lock me in with her little security tape as if I was an animal , when I had just spent 500k COP and am a paying customers . Just save your money and don’t go there . Friends of mine assured me it changed since the last time they went . It was a literal sh*t show. At least 5 others tables were also...
