Hotel Tayrona del mar — Hotel in Santa Marta

I recently stayed at Hotel Tayrona Del Mar and had a very pleasant experience. The first thing I noticed was how clean and well-maintained the rooms were. It was evident that the hotel takes pride in providing a clean and comfortable environment for its guests. The fact that all rooms have air conditioning was a great bonus, especially considering the hot climate in the area.

The staff in the restaurants were exceptional. They were always friendly, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Their helpfulness and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on me.

The rooftop bar at Hotel Tayrona Del Mar was another highlight of my stay. The ambiance was fantastic, offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. The only downside was that it wasn't always open, which was a bit disappointing. However, when it was open, it was definitely worth visiting.

The only minor issue I had was with the size of the pool. It was a bit smaller than I expected, and it could get crowded at times. However, this didn't significantly impact my overall experience, as there were plenty of other amenities and activities to enjoy.

In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Tayrona Del Mar was very enjoyable. The rooms were clean and equipped with AC, the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooftop bar was a great spot to unwind. The check in process was very old fashioned, full of restrictions, very bad attentions and nothing attractive. When you arrive inmesdiately they make you fell bad. They force you to wear an ugly bracelet and signature a restriction and threatening measures... The rooms are just good .with very low quality ammenities, terrible pillows. The pool is good but they put terrible music. Loud and nothing relaxing music. pero rest in the pool. Food is poor, with small portions, and low quality. You feel like in the army but with less food. You are treated bad if you ask for more. There is a plenty of noise in the building Whether a construction on site in Saturday morning or the cleaning lady talking loud and screaming jokes to the others cleaning team. They scream and talk loud no matter if you want to rest. The hotel it's expensive for what they offer. You can't rest. You are...

Positivo: La piscina, tiene buena vista desde el piso 8 (no es la mejor porque tiene atravesados varios edificios, pero es decente). La gran parte del dia está sola o con poca gente. La comida es muy agradable (incluyen el desayuno y la cena).¨ El aire en las habitaciones funciona excelente, en las noches uno descansa bien. El personal son bien atentos (aunque hay 2 que ponen mala cara para todo) Queda a 2 cuadras del rodadero, aunque la playa que tienen cerca no es gran cosa en cuanto a calidad del agua.

Negativo: El sistema de reserva del hotel es una basura (no les importa admitirte a las 3 o 5 de la tarde), asi hayas llegado a las 9 am con toda la familia y tengas reserva desde semanas atras. Hay partes del hotel que están oxidados o no han reparado. Exigentes para cobrarte multas por cualquier cosa, especialmente si te pasas el ultimo dia por 10 o 15 minutos en la salida. En la piscina, no tienen un sistema de seguridad solido en las planchas de los ventanales. Se siente peligrosa la altura. Los negocios de comida que estan cerca la mayoria son basicos o de mala calidad. No hay ninguna guia que te ayude con el tema de seleccion turistica, y al personal poco le importa. Las tarifas son elevadas en temporada alta.

En general, le doy un 3/5, es un hotel para el desvare. No lo recomendaria visitar a otros familiares como una primera opcion. Les falta mejorar sobre todo a la hora del ingreso (aunque dudo...
